My folks came over to visit for a bit yesterday...and brought bbq...was heavenly !
My Dad gave Steve a good talking to about getting himself moving...Yay Dad !
He walked to the corner & back...about 1 1/2 houses worth...but it's a start. Gonna go with him & make him go to the OTHER corner from now on ! lol !

Well at least its a start. A little more each day is good. I was thrilled when my Jeff made it around the block the first time,LOL!
LOL I guess sometimes a good talking to from a parent figure is just what we need! So glad to hear Steve got up and about and that you are doing okay.
I had walking pneumonia decades ago and, in 2010, a mild case of the regular type -- about a zillionth what Steve had -- and I can tell you that it knocks you out. It takes ages to get your stamina back. So I say

I had it too about 4 years ago and I agree Poeia..it just takes it out of you. Good for Steve. (and dad)
It was good that Steve did this!!! And hopefully he will repeat it again. I wouldn't try increasing his walk until he gets a handle on this but he does deserve a WOOT.
Yesterday afternoon he actually walked to the other corner while I was napping !
We had a pretty big lunch after going to bank & post office.
Said 3 neighbors stopped him to check on him...good for him to visit.
This morning he had a walk again before I got up...we will go together after lunch.
I guess Dad's talk really did some good !

Sounds like his hard head is still working fine...well...that's a good thing for his recovery...persistance pays

Classy, that's fantastic that he's going for walks on his own! He must really be feeling better

I am a great believer in walking. It just makes you feel good and as long as the air is clear,,it makes you breathe deeply! Good for you guys.
