I keep seeing descriptions for box mods that run batteries in parallel or in series. Whats the difference between the two? I got told that one uses both batteries at the same time and it doubles the wattage and the other maxes out at what the battery is rated. But they couldn't remember which one was which.

With batteries in parallel the highest voltage will be 4.2 volts and you double the mah rating. With them in series the voltage is doubled 8.4 volts. One disadvantage to series is that you end up with one mod that you have to use a different resistance on the atty. On both of these the batteries need to be the same and matched as the weak battery will be an issue. I take batteries and buy them at the same time and put a label on them to keep them paired up.
