Good enough, so is the hit with kanthal.

Just found out these wires works extremely well with a rolled 1-2mm flavour cotton wick placed on top of your coil. Enjoy the added flavour and increased vapour.

I received my first batch of NR-R-NR wires yesterday, a bundle of 1.2ohms.

Problem is, the R part is abit too short for me to do any micro coiling!

Does the resistance affects the length? Should I get a higher resistance wire for more length??

Use a smaller tool to coil on. However, if I'm not wrong, the wires you have may be 34 awg. It's gonna be mighty short, the R bit I mean. So I think you'll end up with a nano instead.

Of course! The more the electricity has to travel, the more resistance it will encounter!

I tried nano, but it turns out to be not even half of my 28 awg 9wraps micro.. lol..

My advice if you really want to go this path, get NR wire instead and twist to create NR-R-NR wires. It is really easy to do and you will have unlimited stock to play with.

These wires are all the same length, regardless of the resistance. (They use thinner wire for higher-resistances).

I like these because the resistance of the coil always comes out exact; also since the legs are NR you can leave them longer and move the coil around more.

The only disadvantage is that sometimes the r-nr connection breaks, some of them do not seem to be welded that well. Would still highly recommend them!

NR-R-NR is the best thing for everything. I've got the Ithaka and built the little simple welder. And loved it so much then started using NR-R-NR method for everything. No more "Hot Legs" in any of my Genesis Atties. Specially when I'm using Flat Kanthal Ribbon. The non resistant leads are so much easier to trap under the screw and you don't care about the Leigh of it, plus non resistant wire makes much better contact with your post. Here are some examples that I built using NR-R-NR Flat Ribbon and I love it.
