That reminds me of the day my kids thought it would be fun to give the cat a turn on the Slip and Slide.
Bandaids work on kids but on Slip and Slides...not so much.

These were not intended as toys, but a lot of them were treated that way!!

The cute little red-eared sliders will grow as large as the tanks they are kept in, but in these little plastic habitats they never had a chance...

Thank goodness they made a Law that says they cannot be sold under the size of 4" now!!

Slip and Slide, We had lots of fun

That reminds me of the day my kids thought it would be fun to give the cat a turn on the Slip and Slide.
Bandaids work on kids but on Slip and Slides...not so much.

Combine one of those ^^^ with one of these, and it sure made things more interesting... LOL!!

I was about 10 when these came out, and the family who lived on the corner had a huge front yard where they had the Slip'n Slide, so all of the neighborhood kids would hang out there. Then somebody brought a Water Wiggle over to add to the Fun (?)...

It took about 15 years and a couple of deaths before Wham-o recalled the Water Wiggle!! I always thought they had been strangled by it (which seemed a likely thing to happen) but it turns out that the head had come off somehow, and they had put the nozzle in their mouth (even WE weren't that stupid... lol) and either drowned or were choked by the high pressure water coming out of it.

Ahhh... the good life in the Sixties!!
