Not really meant as a toy, but I used to love playing with them!!
My Grandma used to crochet a lot (like the one on the left)... she could literally see something once and go home to make it... from poodles to beautiful doilies with leaves and rose petals on them. I think every pillow case she had was edged with crocheted scallops, too!!
We used to play Jacks a lot, we just called it jacks and guess it was called ball & jacks, where you bounce the ball & see how many jacks you can pick up before you catch the ball!
I remember the time of being at the neighbors and we got in to her teenage sisters oil paints and went finger style with them - the sister and our moms weren't very happy
Hmm... Barbie Dolls, definitely... I thought Birthday Barbie here was fitting...
And who can forget...
And of course, no mention of 1966 would be complete without Dark Shadows... I think it was the start of my fascination with vampires. I wasn't allowed to watch it, which made it that much more interesting, the few times I did watch it.
