New Sigelei 19B and RSST High coil OHM issues.

I just received my new sigelei 19B and RSST. I prepped the SS mesh per instructions on this forum. Thanks EHuman!

Any reasons this coil would have so high resistance? 10.1 ohms tested with a multimeter.



Are there any issues running this coil with such high ohm's?
There are no hotspots and the coil glows fine. I put some juice in the tank and it vapes like a train. A little hot but that just may be me not used to a RBA.
Just a side question, the 19b has the top cap spring, I was under the impression that the battery needed to be positioned in the unit with the positive up, I can't get it to fire that way. If I put it in with negative up it fires just fine.

It has to be a short - there's no way in hell that's a 10 ohm coil..

You don't have a VV device that can test the resistance for you - do you?

No unfortunately I don't. All I have is a craftsman multimeter. I have been using ego twists, all I have to compare it with.

Auto-ranging multimeter? Or manual? Check that you have it reading ohms at the lowest setting. Usually 20 and under. Also, are you checking the ohms by touching the leads to the top? Or the bottom by the 510 connector? Make sure you are checking at the 510. If you are testing by touching the leads to the positive and negative screws on the top then you will get a higher resistance.

Seems like you are either reading the meter wrong or the meter is not working,i dont think using batts upside down is a good idea.

Got it firing the right way with the battery in the proper position.
Its an autoranging multimeter.
I am checking it on the 510 connection.

I replaced my batteries in my multimeter. When I have it on the 20 setting it reads 0.00
When I put it on 200 I am now getting a reading of 1.2 which is good.
My meter is old and may have issues. I think its reading correct now.

if you think it is 10 ohms maybe the decimal point is wrong could be 1 ohm

1.2 sounds correct. Sounds like you have it on the correct setting.
