There needs to be more literature and studies on the effects of inhaling sugar(VG) and PG. vaping is fairly new and there needs to be long term studies. I can't see any of the organisations mentioned above approving or encouraging publicaly without them. My brother who's a pulmonologist asks me what information is known about vaping and what I've come across. If more studies are undertaken it would be great to have even lung specialists on board. When I settle down this year I will really consider researching and possibly undertaking a study on the effects of vaping, BLood pressure, glucose conc, cholesterol levels.. Etc...

One thing that may help is for any vapor with lung disease(bronchitis/COPD/asthma may benefit from less PG conc liquids. Again nothing to back this up but if PG has a lot to do with throat hit then theoretically it may prevent exacerbations by causing less irritation in the lungs..,maybe another study to undertake..

I think you could find some subjects here, if you need them...

I for one hope you do. There are plenty of folks on the forum who've expressed a desire to see more research done.

Thanks!

I guess what I'm trying to say is many of these non profits have lost sight of their original intentions.

I think you're right, and I see a disconnect between these organizations and the public whose health they're supposed to be concerned for. The organizations need to have an official line, and their reasoning is different from my doctor's. My doctor cares about me and knows me well. She has encouraged me to take up vaping because she cares enough about me and my health to accept that a 98% compromise is about the best she's going to get from me, and it beats the bejabbers out of the status quo.
