j0ker cleared up the classifieds rule quite well. Let me try to make the modding forum rules for suppliers crystal clear. The biggest issue that remains is "pre-advertising." Suppliers may not pre advertise or talk about their business in any form in the modding forums. This means support for their products and/or new designs must be discussed in the suppliers forum. Misty says it best , "any mod in development as related to your business is to be discussed in your own advertising threads."

A registered supplier may answer general modding related questions!

Here is an example that is oversimplified to get the point across:

What is a good chip for a VV mod that came do 7.4 V?
Good answer: try the [insert chip here] it has [insert features here]
BAD answer (advertising): I use the [insert chip here] in the [insert projectname here]

Here is an example of something that belongs in the supplier forum, again oversimplified:
I've found that [insert chip here] has better qualities than the [chip] but costs a few dollars more. What do you think about the extra cost versus features? Is it worth using?
While at first glance it might look innocent, but coming from a supplier it is asking for product feedback and a form of pre-advertising.
