For some reason, I don't think Erika has actually had a menthol cigarette. If by "numbs the senses" she means "opens up your lungs and throat with a blast that reminds you that mixing cigarettes and menthol can surprise the hell out of uninitiated" sure, but somehow, I don't think so.

Apparently, Erika doesn't realize tobacco is also a flavor. And, no menthol does not numb the senses. I smoked Newport 100's for about 20 years. No senses were dulled.

Of course there is. There's already a federal law prohibiting sales to those under 21. Plus, does anyone here know of a legitimate B&M vape shop that sells to minors? Or a legitimate online vendor. I haven't seen one yet.
My best guess tells me Myers doesn't know of one either. But when it comes to vaping and one's pet moral crusade, talking through one's rear end has never stopped anyone.

More of this ridiculousness: On NPR yesterday, they had a "teen addiction specialist" on, who was saying that nicotine vapes also had other drugs in them.
She knew this because kids who vaped nicotine also drug tested positive for other drugs. 
I don't know how they can even air something that stupid.Edited to add: I may have to stop listening to NPR (again). They do have some interesting stories. But I don't know how much more of this I can take.
I hope we fight back on this and win. The black market on flavors will increase, or kids will go for tank systems and then those will be up for a ban, and the black market will explode.

The misinformation is appalling. They never distinguish the actual cause of the lung infections. It's just vaping. My senator said banning will save the children. He also stated that the percent of ex-smokers that vape is minimal. SMH. So we should go back to cigarettes. There is no debate with these people. None. But I am happy with the outcome. Let's see what actions the States take.
I was at work today when I read this.
I started laughing so hard I had 2 co-workers come in my office to see what was so funny.
They laughed too.
And this - they thought was REALLY funny as that is what the people getting sick were vaping !
Oh...My co-workers are non-smokers/non-vapers.
Would I be a terrible person if I were to say I really don't give a hoot about this "for the children" campaign? If a 16 year old wants to vape, the responsibility for that lies with the parents and the shop that sold to the teen.
At 65 years old, I don't think I should have to rearrange my life to suit bad parenting and illegal sales.
If indeed, the current crusade is "for the children", the anti-vaping advocates would better serve their moral crusade by lobbying parents and demand law enforcement enforce the current laws.
If that makes me a terrible person, so be it.
But this isn't about "for the children". It's about government losing massive tax revenues, self-serving politicians losing campaign donations and moral crusaders finding another reason to look down their noses at "someone doing something they enjoy and they don't like it".
Cry me a river.
