Cleaning magnets and gold-plated contacts?

Hello to all. Here's a couple of questions I'd like some help with. Magnets? Best way to clean them? They're for a nemmy clone that I purchased from Fat Daddy. They're working fine but I'm on a mission to get the most out of my devices. Same question for gold-plated contacts that are in some of my mods. How do I get them sparkly and fresh without removing the plating? I've got Deox-it and Noalox and will be using these on threads and and battery contacts. Like I've said I'm looking to get the most out of my equipment so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance my fellow vapers....

for the gold plated stuff a Qtip and rubbing alcohol
the magnets... paper towel and alcohol, be sure to check for tiny metal pieces on the magnets....

Why would you get gold plated??? Copper is a better conductor than gold... Only second to silver... Just curious.
