For some time many of us have been looking for an alternative new name for mods, because it is a low-rent name for the McClarens of the ecig world. It is a cheap trashy name for something that is made over here and can be of the highest quality. These devices are not hacksawed-up flashlights any more and their name needs to show that.
People racked their brains but nothing good came up. Then one or two suppliers started to use the term APV, Advanced Personal Vaporizer, and it looks good. Several people have said it does the job for them, so we are going to move over to that term here.
You can expect to see more references to APV here from now on. The InfoPages has already changed over, and we will be changing forum titles from mod to APV. At first (for a long time) there will be dual use.
