are there restrictions on avatars?? I've had a picture of myself as a toddler that I've wanted to use, but have always been restricted from using it on other sites. there's nothing suggestive about it.

I've seen other avatars on this site with children's pics...but am wondering if there are rules about using them....

don't want to get into any trouble...

It really depends on the picture. without seeing it it is really hard to give you an answer.
Without opening a whole can of worms here, I'll just say that a lot of sites are going to err on the side of caution to avoid legal issues.
