I know 90% of the GLV users - use it at 5v (on a standard atty) ....
I happen to have a GLV2 with no resistor installed .... :?: Yea. I know.

Right now I'm using my backup 510 cartos @ 6v (Two Tenergy 750mah 3.0v rcr123a). The battery life stinks and these cartos taste like burning crap imo. High fives all around.

Prior to the GLV I was using an 801 LR atty @ with a 18650 3.7v battery, which is what I'm aiming for again.

Do I have any options to achieve this? Would a dummy cell (if they even make these) + a GOOD AW battery get me what I need? I could ghetto rig a 14500 to fit, but that kind of defeats the purpose of buying an expensive mod.

I take it there are no big capacity batteries that will work, no?

Thanks people

First thing I would do is talk to Jay about this. In the mean time yes they do make dummy cells and if you use a AW rcr123a with a dummy cell you would have the same effect as the 18650 (other than the battery life) I really wish the GLV would fit a 18650 3000mah I really think that battery would last most heavy vapers about 2 or 3 days. anyway.
If you look at lighthound for the dummy rcr123a you will find it.

Jay I am sure would put the resister in there for a small fee plus shipping.

Hope this helps.

I have used a 14500 and just placed in the tube a socket from my ratchet set. works fine using the socket as an extension. It would be easier to use a dummy 16340 though. Actually I think the 14500 gives you better life than the 16340 imo.

I think the 16340 is the best bet because you are limited to that size. No 17's or 18's are going to work or fit as you know.

I see.

Crimmy, is this the "spacer" that I'm looking for?
CR123 Spacer

Which is the better battery: The AW IMR 16340 550mah OR AW RCR123a 750mah?

doots - what size socket ext are you using? Do you mean 17mm/18mm or is that numbered from a set of tools?

Thanks!

I think it was a 7/16 socket. I dont use it any more. I like 5v best.

also 16340's come in 2 voltages.
there is a 3v and 3.7v
Choose the 3.7v

Yes that would be the spacer, I would try radio shack first. but yes that would be the one.
The AW RCR123A imo is the best one for the GLV plus it is the one Jay suggest you use.
Good luck
