AG v VG nic base

Hi guys. I've been vaping unflavoured VG for a couple of weeks with PG nic base diluted to about 6mg. I'm now considering buying VG nic base to add to my VG so that I'm 100% VG. In fact, I can buy 72mg AG nic base slightly cheaper. Seeing as how VG makes flavours take longer to come through, would buying AG mute flavour even more seeing as how it's thinned with water and water isn't a good flavour carrier, if I decided to buy and add some flavouring to the VG? Or does it not really affect flavour that much since it's just the nic base?
