Sorry about the old thread bump, but I thought I would update the "historical record".
My new Aegis Solo just arrived, loaded with firmware version "GB78-H14-2020-072701". I don't know if this is the latest, as it does not appear on their website... or anywhere else I can Google.
The update listed in the GeekVape help system (referenced earlier in this thread) is "GB78-H12-2019-0312301" which looks to be older than mine.
My new Aegis Solo just arrived, loaded with firmware version "GB78-H14-2020-072701". I don't know if this is the latest, as it does not appear on their website... or anywhere else I can Google.

I update my Solo with the correct firmware that I got from the right section in geekvape’s web site but now my mod is bricked! I am really frustrated because I did the update just for my stupid needs to try it, the mod was working pretty good
I tried to restore to the original firmware but it’s still not turning on... I hope geekvape’s support can help me with the ticket I started today.
I had a question regarding the coil ohm value: on my mod it was “locked in” and I never understand how to unlock in order to correct the ohm value , is there a method to unlock the adjustment for this value?

Someone in the Random DIY thread had what they thought was a dead Solo not too long ago. It wouldn't power up. I had them remove the battery, plug it into a USB port on their PC then power their Solo up. It brought the Solo back to life. Give it a try.
I would retry the firmware update again.
If that doesn't work I would find an older firmware version to try.
You might try running the firmware update without the battery installed in your Solo.
Just an FYI. I don't think there are any updated firmware downloads for the Solo. I downloaded the one on their downloads page and then the one on their support page that says it's the "original firmware", but they appear to be the same firmware judging from their file names inside the zip file. Both are "JKN_GB78_H12-USER-S10 2019032301.bin"

Are you sure you didn't download the Aegis X firmware from this page instead of teh Aegis Solo?
With battery in and mod off, hold the up/down buttons for 3-5 seconds. Does a serial # or firmware # appear on the screen or just dead?

Indeed seems there’s nothing different between these two versions... the worst point is nothing seems working to make alive gain my mod
Now I have to bring to the bed my daughter then I will try again, I don’t want to give up!
Nothing shown by holding fire, up or down button or +/- together
I made a mistake and correct in post. only hold down up/down buttons together. No fire button.
