And the FDA is worried about the ~4 chemicals in e-cigs?!

They're not worried about the chemicals in e-cigs, they're doing the bidding of the Fed who is losing substantial amounts of tax revenue, and from Big Tobacco, who are losing profits.

This will end with our juice being taxed just as heavily as cigarettes are. It's sad, and enraging, but it's the way it is.

Thanks jove,

No the FDA is not worried about the chemicals,
they still allow cigarette adulteration by Big T.

They are worried about the $$$,

'cause Big T and Big RX
are worried about the $$$,
the spend on the FDA.....:glare:

That's what always bothered me about the tobacco trials. They established that Big Tobacco was putting really harmful things into cigarettes, and doing things to them to make them more addictive, but all that came of it was a big fine, and taxes. How about BANNING these chemicals from their products?

Iv been asked in my shop "Glycerin turns into acrolein at high heat's?" any one have any documentation of this or anything i could have a read up on?

"Conclusions:
IMHO, The dry coil is capable of far exceeding the stated decomposition temp of VG (280-290C). However,When wetted, The coil peak temp is dramatically reduced and becomes incapable (under these conditions) of achieving required temps to decompose the VG into Acrolein."

The same people that own Big tobacco own the FDA. They also own the major news corporations and all major methods in which media is distributed to the public. They are the same ones that own Big Pharm and the US Government and all of it's branches.

If you follow the money it all goes back to the same place. Money is the motive, and laws and regulations bend around income.

I agree with Billy. If E-cigs take an ever increasing share of the analogue market billions of revenues will disappear. The US government needs an "Excuse" to tax thus justifying it to avoid voter rebellion. Here is a health issue. NYC is now forcing E-cig users to vape in smoking areas. By-standing smoke is a health risk so put those (vapers) avoiding the risk into the area. DUH!

GOVERNMENT= OXYMORON! :mad:

I will NEVER understand why it is considered "OK" for ANYTHING consumable to contain ALL of those chemicals!!

Here is irony at it's best. If one "Bad" chemical is ever found in E-cigs they will be condemned no matter what the concentration nor risk level. One more. I have never heard nicotine itself being discussed as part of the by-standing smoke issue with analogues yet it is of major concern with E-cigs. Why?

Pretty sure it's mostly just the US tobacco companies who have the money to blow to add all that gunk into their tobacco to make SURE smokers get addicted for sure. And develop health problems to feed the medical industry. Nevermind some people enjoying tobacco, they must LOVE it to the death or the industry has failed.

Hi guys nice thread, but maybe a bit overreacting since from what i know, nobody here just vapes VG/PG/Nic

How about a thread: What's "really" in your Juice ?

Let me get you started:
* Acetic Acid
* Citric Acid
* Malic Acid
* Acetyl Pyrazine
Methylbutyraldehyde
* Ethyl Maltol
* Sucralose

Don't know of a lot more right off the bat, but there are tons more. Feel free to chip in if you know of any

* Very common
