A Thank You and a Question

THANK YOU Steve! I got my Prodigy back today and it's working great but only with my original 801 adapter. I tried the new 510 adapter I bought when you liquidated them and I cannot get it to work no matter what I do. It's not the atty because it's working perfectly on my SB. Any ideas anyone?

Hey Boochips ...

Not a problem Do you only have (1) 510 atty to test with?

A) Take the adapter off, and the end cap. With batteries inside, push up and expose the plastic housing for the switch just a bit. Then screw on adapter and end cap again.

Good change, the 510 adapter simply wasn't making contact with the contact post.

I tested with 3 different ones, all work on my SB. Now I have another problem...lol...now the 801 adapter stop working... I will keep playing with it, changed batteries and pushed adapter up.....I'll let ya know.

I did get one 510 to work for about 4 drags after I popped the switch out and put it back in again and then everything stopped working again.

Looks like the switch isn't the culprit ... Its likely the contact of the adapter vs. contact post. Were you able to get the 801 going? If you still can't get the 510 to work, I will test a 510 Prodigy adapter here, and send it your way.

Nope, neither adapter working now...I'll try again later and take the switch out again...

mine did this same thing the first day i got it. check the switch houseing... check the solder points of the switch, i resoldered mine back together... fired right up. i only have the 801 protege adapter though.

I don't know a thing about soldering...lol
Nope, had to drop Smokey in the mail again today and send him back to Tennessee again. Hopefully Steve can fix him this time.....
