I'm planning to order an 801 Top Cap for my BP so I don't have to use an adapter (510 to 801). I want the M1A1 to sit down lower, but remember reading in one or more threads of people having airflow problems with Fusions -- something with the phillips top screw compared to a flat head screw.

Do I absolutely have to have a flat head screw for proper airflow? Is it included with an 801 cap, or do I need to order one from Notcigs?

Has anyone tried to use Fusions both on a native 801 cap and a 510 cap w/ adapter? Which did you prefer?

Thanks for any answers.

Arrgh!! Now I see this thread after I placed my order  .. So my question is ~ can I get some slotted screws w/my order??? I don't see where I can add to comments anywhere, dang it :(.. I ordered the 801 top caps. I have adapters, but I like the fact that the 801 connection sits lower than the 510 connection...

Edit: sent msg on web site. Hope that works :)

I have 2 BP's with 801 caps and 2 BP's with 510. The fusions work perfectly on the 801 caps. I have never tried a fusion on the 510 cap as I am to lazy to buy a 510 - 801 adapter. We did have an issue were out of the blue one of the 801 BP's started drawing REALLY hard. My husband switched the screw out and all was perfect again. I have to say that we put the 801 caps on the 2 BP's after they were purchased with 510 caps. So I am assuming the issue was our error somehow.

You should not be disapointed with the 801 cap and the fusion as long as you ask for the extra screws in the event it does start drawing hard. The second BP with 801 cap has never had a problem.

Now just have to get another M1A1 tank that's 1.5" long to use with the upcoming Fusion MEGAs. :p
