Hey everyone, Happy thanksgiving to all here in the U.S.

I thought since we now have all different types of 510 LR attys now available, we could try to cobble together a master list of where to buy the different resistances. I know that there are variances in the resistance for different vendors (a 1.5ohm atty could be anywhere from 1.3 to 1.7ohm), but if an atty is advertised as a 1.5, and normally meters at a 1.5, it should be listed as a 1.5ohm atty.

I'll start this (cut and paste into new posts, so it will always be updated). Thanks for helping!

With all the different voltages available now and the production of different resistances, I think all vendors should list the Ω rating. I'll add a few:

How do you tell? I just bought some from litecig marked as low resistance. They seem to suck my batteries down faster.

The PureSmoker and the MadVapes atty's I have and have tested with a multi-meter. The GreenHouseOne's and the Value Vapor I haven't actually tested, but bookmarked for their exceptionally high resistance listing.

Take a multimeter and set it on Ohms/resistance take one lead and put it to the hole in the bottom of the atomizer and take the other lead and put it to the threads. Hold it there for a while until you get a pretty steady number.

Also don't forget to subtract the resistance of the multimeter leads. With the multimeter set to ohms/resistance, hold the two leads together until the reading is also pretty steady. Subtract this number from the number you get when you measure the resistance of the atomizer.

If you don't do this, the resistance reading will be too high.

Wow I didn't know they still made crappy multimeters that don't even zero out the leads. You have one of these? That's like a weight scale not being at zero because of the weight of the scale itself

Ikenvape also sells a 5.2 XHV in a 801 & 901 might want to add that to the list

Thanks for adding to the list everyone. As far as 801/901 goes, I guess I wanted to keep the 'list' to 510 only, just so people wouldn't be confused. But, thanks for the info, it definitely belongs in the thread.

Most of the inexpensive ones don't. Harbor Freight ones don't, Hongda(Ikenvape) don't. Most of the units practical for a vaper don't. Wouldn't really be practical, or necessary, to get something like a Fluke for most vapers.

Its simple. Touch the leads together. If you get a reading other than 0, it must be subtracted from the atty reading.

Yeah you know what it is that I keep forgetting, I jobs and hobbies have mostly been electrical in nature and I have always had a good multimeter around, actually a few so I forget that there are 10 dollar multimeters out there lol.
