Hello and welcome back for today's review of the ARGUS P2 Pod system from VOOPOO. The ARGUS P2 is either the little or big brother to the ARGUS G2 that I reviewed last week - VOOPOO ARGUS G2 POD SYSTEM REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322. The reason I say little brother is the size difference and the reason I say big brother refers to the battery size being 100mAh larger than the G2. A 1100mAh internal battery powers the P2 that has a maximum power output of 30 watts. There are multiple power modes and it has adjustable airflow including a single smaller MTL airflow hole. Unlike the G2 the P2 doesn't have a array of light shows to select from but there are some lights that have a couple of adjustments to them and they can be switched off to conserve battery life, let's get started.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


Packaging is a side out with a rectangle box containing your components sitting on top of the device with the 0.7Ω pod preinstalled. I really like the contrasting color difference of the Gold against the Black color, it really brings a classy high end appearance look to the device.

VOOPOO released the ARUS G2 and P2 POD systems at the same time and they do have some similarities but are also completely different. As I mentioned earlier there are lights with multiple colors that give a nice look and you have a choice to use them or turn them off conserving battery life so don't worry about a power drain, that's a good feature VOOPOO included.

I always charge a device that has a internal battery before testing and when I fist came across some lights and the small display screen that shows battery capacity in % and a battery bar.

VOOPOO wraps the clear plastic display screen front and back for protection against scratches. the back of the transparent display screen displays the devices chipset for a nice look.

Connection of the pod is magnetic and there's a plastic strip that needs to be removed before using. VOOPOO says these pods are top fill but they are side fill using the rubber plug but you can fill the pods without removing the pod from the device. You will notice in some of my pictures I'm using the 0.7Ω pod from the ARGUS G2 to see if the added height of it would look funny and it does not in my opinion.

As with the ARGUS G2 the P2 has adjustable airflow by way of a slider control, there are 3 airflow holes of the same size and a separate smaller MTL airflow hole as well just like the G2, even the airflow selector has a pizazz appearance to it being trimmed in Gold with a Black center. I don't use one but maybe you do in any case there is also a lanyard holder built into the device.

You will see a button on top of the device but it's not a fire button but rather a menu select button, the ARGUS P2 is auto draw only and it works great giving a very smooth vape. But pressing the button 3 times quickly depending on which power mode your using you can adjust wattage if in power mode or change to SHIFT power that gives you a selection of SPT, NOR, or ECO power mode, to get to the 3 mode above press the selection button 5 times quickly.

It sounds complicated but after trying different modes you get the hang of it rather fast To change light settings long press the selection button for 2 choices of lights or the ability to turn them off. I had a very hard time taking pictures of the different screens because of the refresh rate of my camera but did get a few that came through with some having a line through them that isn't really there.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS


First I need to tell you that my pictures don't really capture how attractive this device is. As far as being user friendly this will take new vapers a few turns before getting the menu and modes down pat but it's really not hard at all.

The airflow is very smooth and with adjustable airflow you can tailor the vape to fit your style. Flavor is better the tighter the airflow is restricted and it's very good. I wish that coils could be replaced instead of replacing the whole pod, that's my only con with this system everything else is thumbs up. I recommend the ARGUS P2 POD system 100% as well as the ARGUS G2 POD system.
