And now, on a lighter subject...

This photo was taken a while ago, and we won't see the beach this empty again until after Labor Day... LOL!!

All of the local beaches have passed "No Butts on the Beach" anti-smoking laws... which I think is just GREAT due to all of the smokers thinking it is one big ash can, and all of the hundreds of thousands of cigararette butts picked up each year during the Annual Beach Clean-up Day!!

But nobody batted an eye when I plopped myself down in the middle of the beach and started vaping away...

I_strider - I think it's kind of awesome, too - the fact that it can be done is way cool & fantastic for people like me who've had nasty accidents & have spinal cord compression & damage that needs to be corrected! I hope your wife enjoys the pics!

This park is just SE of the Pier in the other pic, and also has a 'No Smoking' policy... which is kind of silly since they have Public BBQ's there... and that is much worse than any cigarette smoke could ever be!!

That's okay... I wasn't freaked out, but I could almost feel your pain... That must have been one heck of an accident!!

I had a fall last year and ended up with a compression fracture in one of my vertebrae (L2 I think) but nobody bothered to take X-rays until 6 mos. later, and it had healed by then... although I'm still having pain on my left side.

But I'm sure that is NOTHING compared to what you must have gone through!!!

I would love love love a Sabre touch - I've drooled over them & lusted after, especially after talking to others worth collections of them (plus, Iron Monkey is from Buffalo & Sabres hockey is a household obsession, so... Perfect mod for us!) so I'd love to win for a multitude of reasons!
However... I've just had 3 massive cervical spine fusions & can't get out of the house for a public vaping photo
Any other options for entering? I can post photos of the titanium in my neck or me vaping in my neck brace & recliner

There ARE some feral cats around, but they are more down by the pier and harbor area... and the animal rights people have been rounding them up so they won't be destroyed...

But we have a LOT of squirrels, and I have to carry a bag of peanuts with me at all times, or face being molested by them!! LOL!!

But I'm sure that is NOTHING compared to what you must have gone through!!!

It was a nasty accident & have thoracic damage (probably won't have that fixed as the risks outweigh the rewards, and a lumbar fusion coming up in the next few months.
Here's the thing though -never compare your pain to anyone else's! We all get "used" to our own pain levels, and I can only imagine the pain of a fractured disc - OUCH!
If you're still having pain, go see a good spine specialist -there may be a pinched nerve, etc, or something that can be fixed with an injection

Thank you for the well wishes! Hopefully one more surgery (lumbar this time), and I'll be back to a semi normal life, and I can't wait! Iron monkey is procrastinating about taking a photo, so I hope a selfie will do
