510 Adapter Not Making Connection

I recently got an E2 Clearomizer tank. Here is the link with the picture. E2 eGo Clearomizer Tank [EGOE2CLEAROTANK] - $12.99 :

I wanted to use it on my SS Lavatube. But it doesn't fit. So I got a 510 to 510 adapter to make it work. Here is another link of the adapter (I got three of em.) V2 510 Shorty Extension- Unsealed#

Now the tank fits but there is a short somewhere. My CE2's, and the new E2 Clearomizer Tank doesn't work. I tried the adapter out with a simple 510 atty and it worked. But I bought these to fit the new tank.

I got the unsealed adapters from Madvapes to accommodate for the center pin on the Lavatube. They also sell the sealed adapter, which I didn't get.

Anybody know any tricks to make this work?

Pull the centre post out some on the CE2s and the clearomizer tk. It isn't the adapter

I don't think there is a way to pull the center post out of the Ce2 without diminishing it's performance, or almost breaking it. I mean I've done it before while messing around with one. But the tank...I don't want to break the seal and have the tank leak on the bottom.
