Hello everyone. Where can I get zirconium wire? I've seen posts for advanced vape and Temco ( or TemCo ??) ,no results for either one. Thanx for any and all help!!

Why do you particularly want to use it?
Interestingly zirconium oxide (ZrO2) is used as a diamond substitute.

I had not heard of anyone using this for vaping. So what is the draw? Why use this over SS or Kanthal, especially if it is more expensive?

I have never tried it, but looking at it’s properties it would make an excellent TC coil with a TCR value of 0.0044 (as per Steam Engine). It has a lower Specific Heat Capacity and lower mass than Kanthal, so ramp up would be very quick. Resistance is just a little less than Titanium, but higher than Nickel 200

One of the posts I was reading yesterday, mentioned that it was a "pure" metal. Not an alloy. Just wanted to check it out and see what it's all about. I've not heard of it before,either

Zirconium is an element, but can also be made into an alloy. It is used to make alloys for the medical industry.

If looking for pure Zirconium, I would inquire with the supplier. Vape wire maybe an alloy given it’s price.

Thanx for the tip. I went to a site called ( I think!) GG (Golden Greek) . They have "soft zirc. wire, but, apparently they can't ship to USA! Sent them an e-mail inquiring why. I"ll check back tomorrow. Again, thank you for the help. And it's not that expensive. at least what I saw available.

well they ( GG) claim they ship to USA all the time. They want me to order some more stuff to see if that works. Jeesh, I wasn't born yesterday!! I did find some after a very tiring and frustrating search, but, all have dislaimers "not to be used for human consumption". And as someone said earlier, it IS very pricey. If it's that good of a vape wire, I'll wait 'til some sites that I deal with regularly start carrying it. Thanx for all your help. Vape on. And leave my flavors alone,dammit!!!
