Authentic sony vtc batteries? vtc 3, 4 or 5?
There are as many fake vtc 4's & 5's on the market as authentic.
Did you get them from a reliable dealer/vendor or?

What happens when you put the batteries in the charger?
Do they go through a normal charge cycle?
After fully charging & installing them in the wismec what do the batteries read then?
Are you installing the batteries in the correct orientation in the charger & power device?

Sounds like they may not be making good connection in the wismec.
Are the battery contacts springy, seem tight.

Since it it new probably best to take it back to the place you bought it.

im using brand new sony vtc batteries
im using a nitecore intellicharger i4
no i have not checked with a multimeter because i dont have one :)

The i4 won't tell you the precise (volts) level of charge, but you should charge up those batteries and see what the mod reads them at once you know they are fully charged.

Maybe they arrived part-discharged? (not unusual). I would expect the mod to turn itself off (or something similar) at some point.

If the batteries are that low then they are pretty much dead. Sony VTC anything is the #1 battery that is faked. I own 2 Wismec RX200 (white/teal & black/black) and a Wismec DNA 200 "I wanted the get the whole family LOL!!" No issues with the Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mah batteries. Where did you purchase the batteries? If on eBay the chance that they are fake is about 95%. If it was a local shop that chance is about 50% that they are fake. On that mod I would use either a 2500mAh or 3000mAh batteries. Forget VTC3 its only 1600mAh, VTC4 is only 2100mAh and the VTC5 is 2600mAh, but again over priced and highly counterfeited!!

Now what version of software do you have on your RX200? The current version as of today is 1.08 which corrected font issue, but 1.07 did address performance issues. I have heard of a few users that did have a similar issue as you did. To check the version of the mod. Power off "press fire button 5 times", now press the fire button 20 times. It will display the version number. BTW if you press the fire button 10 times it display the mod's temperature. To exit press the fire button once.

The Nitecore charger that you are using is a good charger. I have the D4 version "LCD Display"

The mod can't be on if he's checking the battery voltage.

OK opened up the user manual. "Check Battery:" When one of the cells is not inserted incorrectly.

So I stand partially corrected lol.. If "one" of the cells is inserted incorrectly, you'll get that message. I would guess also that if one of cells are bad you'd get that message as well. Though I would really question how real those Sonys are.

+1, bad batteries for a guess. Most auto parts stores, battery shops and electronic supply houses have a volt meter handy and will check them for you. And get some LG HG2s for that mod, from Orbtronic, Illumn or RTDVapor.

Can't go wrong with those suppliers.

On the next fire the screen went dead and the device stopped working....i have only had this device for 7 days....very disapointing.
