Why is butterscotch such a hard flavor to reproduce?

I'm a butter guy. I like butter stuff. Buttery, the better. I've tried butterscotch from multiple vendors and they all tasted delicious in my attys, especially mount baker Vapor's butterscotch. But after trying three different vendors' butterscotch in cartos, novas, dct cartotanks (with single coil cartos), and even a CE4 (whcih i swore off), I just can't get butterscotch to work for me. For other vapers who aren't as attuned to butterscotch as myself, they always say, "It tastes like butterscotch," but I'm just not tasting it. I know it's a muted flavor anyway, but has anyone out there who has vaped a good butterscotch and can direct me to what you were using on your device, please let me know asap. I have two bottles just sitting here waiting to be vaped...

Best and purest flavor for me has always come out of a IO6 (306) atomizer. A few 510 atomizers have worked pretty well too, the dual coil atty from Clouds of Vapor is great. Anything with filler seems to mute flavor for me.

I've tried it every possible way. Dripping, ViVi Novas (crystallized two atty coils within 48 hours, managed to resurrect one), CE4s, Boge and SmokTech cartos, and even the hole-punched SmokTech cartotanks. Nothing except dripping has given me a satisfying butterscotch flavor.

I've tried a handful of butterscotch flavors myself and I've yet to find one I like, either.

Butterscotch is an artificial flavor, of course. I suppose it's just one of those flavors that is difficult to mimic.

I have given up on trying to find a Butterscotch flavor that actually tastes like a Brach's butterscotch candy. It baffles me as well why this flavor is so hard to achieve, when it is such a simple flavor in the real world, like 3 or 4 ingredients, mainly butter and brown sugar.

If it tastes good dripping, why not just drip? I drip all day, it would be easier to use a carto or something, but the flavor/vapor/TH is just so much better out of an atty.

I use tank/ cartos and like theecig organic butterscotch. It's all VG. I get lots of vapor. It is kind of mild though. Maybe you can request all PG so the flavor will come thru stronger. I have repeat gotten it and always look forward to arriving so it's good to me. Doesn't taste fake

I'll tell you why butterscotch misses so often. Having made butterscotch (the sauce) many times I've come to realize that the most important ingredient in it is SALT. Real butterscotch has a lot of salt. Without enough of it, it tastes like dark buttery caramel. Salt is the key to a good butterscotch and it should be perceptible. My

The salt makes sense. I just did a review of ECBlends butterscotch and I thought it was pretty good.

To get the full flavor I had to pull directly into the lungs rather than pull in the mouth then inhale. Tastes yummy.

Extra flavor/sweetener would probably get this juice to taste as strong as the candy but I think it's a better every day vape as is.

Now I read a bunch of really happy reviews about the in your face taste of Butterscotch from Clouds of Vaper. That one is my next try
