I started vaping last December after 30 years of analogs. It was a successful from day one, smoked 2 analogs the first day, one on day 2 and then no more. I really liked vaping and had finally found something that worked, or so I thought. After about 5- 6 weeks my mood started to darken. This is nothing new, have depression and complex PTSD and am on meds. For the last few years everything has been under control, meds worked fine and I had a good life. Week 8 and a was suffering the worst relapse in to depression for years, my Doctor turned up the meds, but no joy. Week 9 and I was suicidal, having problems sleeping and found my self on the brink of psychosis. After 48 hours of no sleep I went out and got some analogs, smoked 5 in a row and slept like a baby after. In the days that followed I was back to analogs full time and my mental state improved rapidly, now 2 months later I am back to my old self, meds working fine and all is good.
I have some questions. Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what did they do? Is it possible that this is due to the lack of whole tobacco alkaloids in E-liquid?
I would really like to go back to vaping as I felt all the benefits of not smoking for those 3 months.
