Hi,

I have an Asmodus Colossal 80w mod. Always used efast 18650, 35A, 3000 mah, flat tops.
These batteries have been hard for me to find recently. Can anyone tell me what comparable battery I could use in my device?

I use an innokin zenith tank and vape at 11.8 W. with 60/40 juice. No nic.

Any authentic 3000mah from Sony, LG, Molicel or Samsung will be fine for that wattage. As long as its good for 15amps you are more than fine. I seem to get the best life out of the Sony VTC6 but not by a great deal. Samsung 30Q is also a great battery for low amp vaping.

I vape at around the same wattage @jersey girl. I bought a bunch of new batteries last year and after doing some research settled on Samsung 30Q because I got a good deal on them. I'm happy with them.

As @Evi|grin said, look for 3000 mAh and 15 amps from a known manufacturer. Also a known good supplier. Check pricing and decide from there.

I was about ready to say what puffon just said. You're not going to find a battery that legitimately has 3,000 and 35 amps when we talk about amps we're talking about continuous discharge rate. Anyhow whenever I'm looking for any kind of battery I always go on mooch and check out what he recommends for what I'm using. it doesn't necessarily have to be the most recommended from him but if I pick up something from a legit seller and it's one of the ones that he says is good then I'm completely confident in using that battery.

So upon checking out the battery recommendations I notice they are stamped not for use ecig or vape.

Is this just to cover themselves from lawsuits. Or is it a legit concern?

Also the Samsung 30Q is 15 A. I am leaning towards that one. What would my max wattage be at those amps? Daniel Forsyth did reply above that he uses them at 23W. Just curious how much wiggle room I would have.

Yes. They just want to cover their asses.
But you have to make absolutely sure, that you keep your cells in absolutely immaculate condition. Dents and burrs on the can or even the slightest nick in the wrap or top insulator can cause a catastrophic failiure.

Amprating x 3 x number of cells in the mod = max wattage. Roughly speaking

That way the 30Q could be used up to 45W in the Colossal or 90W in a dual 18650 mod.

Got it. Knew there had to be a simple formula to figure that. Thank you.

I hear if you rewrap those batteries they magically become suitable for vaping

Thank you for that list I usually buy at Lionwholesale. But like having other choices.

Liionwholesale is a good vendor. I used to use them. I only switched to 18650batterystore simply because their prices are better and 18650batterystore has phenomenal "Deals of the Day" frequently.
