I just came off cigar because I couldn't sleep from all the wheezing/singing my lungs were doing when I laid down.
After the standard coughing for a week, the wheeze went away.
Now that I'm fulltime vaping, the wheezing has come back.
I just do about 3ML a day, and most are just nose hits.
I have to clear my throat quite a bit without a cough, but when I lay down, it's like I still smoke cigars.
The juice is a standard 50/50, would it do any good to change that?
Anybody else have this problem?
TIA

try uping the pg in your juice and cutting way back on vg and see if it goes away. That is what I have had to do to prevent weezing issue i was having. I find that vg coats my throat with almost a film that causes me to wheeze,, I dont care much for all pg juice but I like to breathe also.. lol
works for me. whenever I try and use even 50-50 I get the weezing.. Take this for what its worth.. Just my experience.
I have found that cutting my vg with 10-15 wsater helps so i can use a little more vg but still.. only helps..

It can take upwards and beyond a few months to get the lungs to expel the crud that has acumilated over the years. Also, the lining of the trachea/bronchial tubes will be restructuring the cell growth back to its proper status for a couple of months. This reconstruction also produces a fair amount of gooeyness... that will "cough" up.... my session lasted about 4 months...

I prefer 100VG, PG above 20% seems to increase the coughing...

pg is the most common but you may have to play around and see. sounds like we are some of the very few unfortunate that can't vape anything above 40%vg. It gives me similar results as the OP, however my cousin is the exact opposite as he can't handle the pg and has to vape mostly vg juices.

I mainly DIY so I can adjust real quick the ratios I use and VG in my case, is the culprit. causes a rattling in my chest also on highvg juices.. My sister uses 100% vg with no problems. I have also found some cigar flavors almost cause me an allergic reaction to a slight extent.. I stay clear of them although I do love them. :)

.

I agree.
I had the same things happening to me before vaping. It took 3 to 4 months to clear up. VG PG have nothing to do with that. I use mainly PG 70/30 VG usually makes most people more mucusy.

Same here, doots, except it wouldn't say wheezing. With 80% vg, I had what I think others have described as a heaviness in the lungs or chest and couldn't seem to get enough air. Still, there was no wheeze and seemed to be no restriction.
Same feeling I get.. I think I used Wheeze too quickly although If I vape too much VG I will develop a wheeze in time.

I would agree that a person that just stopped smoking can/will have these symptoms from time to time as the cleansing occurs in the lungs, but I have not smoked in over 5 years. Just saying. It could be a reaction and not just cleansing. Everyone is different. I had a little coughing when I stopped smoking but never had hard to breathe or wheezing symptoms after I quit.

I find that wheezing or dry gunk in my throat or chest is a sign that I need more hydration. I was never much of water drinker, but I force myself to drink more. Getting rid of the wheezies was one of the major benefits of vaping for me...and I found that my nightime wheezing went away very early...after just a couple of weeks. Higher PG levels do help me, along with more water.

There's an allergy type of wheezing usually the buronkular (I cant spell) tube constriction. Wheezing from years of smoking and inhaling cigars is from the lungs causing snapping, clicking sounds and little whistling sounds from deep in the lungs is what I had, and it took a few months before it stopped.
