You must be speaking of mod size.

Cause this ain't 'spensive...

True Spec Premium 7.4V 5000mAh 112Amps/90C Traxxas

112 amps holy crap!
I have been preaching the answers that you speak on deaf ears since 2013 on this site.

Next someone needs to challenge the 100% accuracy of battery university...

And any claim made by Brandon or his next hired crony of MaxAmps that makes his batteries worth more than any other brand...

5 times more...

Thanks to highly inflated specs...

In a sector of the battery industry where the entire industry makes efest look honest in their specs.

MANUFACTURERS PRINT inflated specs DIRECTLY ON THE CELLS as a STANDARD PRACTICE.

So it's best to know what your battery actually can do. ;)

Brandon from Evolv? They recommend Fullymax mainly because of size and it's a decent battery. The companies who actually make the batteries don't inflate the specs it's the companies who re-wrap the cells.

That's nothing. That's a discount performance pack.

Different Brandon.

Unwrap the pack and check the factory print like I have. You'll see. ;)

This pack died due to 3 millisecond 180 amp peaks...

That's 20 amps LESS than its FACTORY nominal/continuous rating.

P.S.

Factory spec on that 112 amp pack is 450 amps. ;)

5A*90C=450

Danny at Superior Matching Concepts (SMC) rates it at 112 amps.

Which no doubt is somewhere between realistic and conservative for a nominal rating.

He just prints the factory specs on the label so his packs can be compared to other packs.

It's a crying shame we don't have enough people on this site with any real knowledge about LiPos to have a serious conversation about them.

Even worse is when you couple that with the fact that we don't have any shortage on opinions.

This Thread should be 30 pages of actual useful information and debate by now.

Le sigh.

I don't know enough of about batteries to dissemble a lipo. I once (accidentally) set my dna 200 to 200 watts and had it firing in my pocket until my atomizer started burning me . That fullymax pack didn't seem to care, capacity wasn't affected. That's why I love lipo packs they can take a whole lot of amps and more importantly imo they can take a lot of heat.

I'm glad everything worked out for you.

But I feel responsible to warn you.

LiPo's are notoriously sensitive to heat.

    Be careful. Stay safe.
