Hello all,

I'm vaping now for 6 month, I bought the eGo-T back then and I still use it....
I'm getting sometimes a little angry if the tank is leaking, the vapor production declines, no good throat kick.....I also have to replace the atty's quite often and I notice that my batteries start to loose the charge quick.

Since I have to get new batteries pretty soon anyways, I'm start to wondering what would be a good alternative to the eGo-T.

Here is what I like on the eGo-T

- I have to fill the tank once a day thats it....
- Very low maintenance requires
- Size-wise imho pretty good
- Very durable
- Battery last all day

Here is what I did not like:
- Leaking tanks
- Often juice in the mouth
- 'Dull' flavor
- New atty's have not been equal in vapor production

I've read about the drip tip's but I'm afraid that it is too unpractical for me if I would have to fill it constantly.

Is there anything close to the eGo-T, with a tank system, higher voltage and somewhat equal size?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Alex

Hi USA-Alex. First a question: have you been using the eGo-T exclusively? I mean have you tried any other alternatives on your eGo batteries, like cartomizers?

Hello,

I have tried the eGo mega attys before I switched to the tank.....
I went away from the mega attys since I had to "re-drip" them every 2 hrs or I would get the burned taste....

...first off, what you have is a eGo battery...with a tank kit...there are many things that will attach to the eGo batts...I would strongly suggest some good cartomizers(carto) and make sure you are using them properly...a Boge carto holds 1ml of juice and the XL version hold 1.8ml of juice...there are mega dual coil versions that hold 3r4ml...all of these should havvta be filled completely to begin with or you will get a burnt taste and they will havvta be changed out or topped up regularly...there is no way around that fact...there is a definite "convenience/learning" curve to these things......

...to be specific, goto Crystal Clear Vaping and pick up a bundle(15) of these...they will hold as much or more than your tanks do...with the bundle, you will get 2 drip tips to use as mouth pieces, a syringe to insure proper filling and free shipping....good luck on your hunt and Happy Vaping............

Before you give up on the eGo just try something else on them first. You will find on this forum that many people use cartomizers. Low-resistance cartomizers are perhaps the most popular, because they give you somewhat of a simulation of a higher voltage device, without necessarily having to change your whole set-up. I personally use Boge LR (2.0 Ohm) cartos on my eGo batteries, and like them very much. I also use Smok-Tech 1.7 Ohm XL cartomizers (also called Liquidators), and they hold nearly twice the amount of juice as the Boges.

I tried the eGo-T atomizer and tank when it first came out earlier this year and didn't like them at all.

Once you try LR cartomizers, if still not satisfactory, then by all means look for something else.

Here is link to a popular vendor who sells both cartos in a bundle of 15 cheap with free shipping:

You can either use the condom method to fill the cartos, or use the syringe you will receive with your order from Crystal Clear Vaping. Try it both ways to see what works best for you. Many say using a syringe ensures better filling, but I use the condom method. Look for PBusardo videos on YouTube for his condom filling technique.

Edit: Here is his video. Much better seen than explained.

I finally got fed up with ego-t attys and tanks so I switched to CE2 carttomizers and clearomizers. I have a Vision tank from Gotvapes that holds a couple days of juice and is easy to fill... other places sell these with different names. Great balance of price, flavor, and convenience. I haven't looked back.

I used to use ego tanks. I now recommend (and use) the EMDCC's. I'll link two different types - the only difference is the mouthpiece, one round, one flat. I like the flat ones, but you can swap the tips around, so when you first try these, I'd get one of each so you can decide which you like best.

eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Flat-Tip

eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Round Tip

I'm still using my ego T 1000 mah batteries, I've just changed what gets screwed onto the end.

Don't give up on the ego batteries just yet. I own tons of mods and still go back to my ego's because of this one "little" piece of hardware..."little' being said sarcastically.

It holds almost 4mls of juice, provides tons of vapor/flavor/TH. Downside, will deplete your batteries faster but with 2 batteries, you can go all day. What is it I'm talking about? Click the link below.

eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Flat-Tip

or try this one..my favorite......http://mtnvapor.com/HS-Dual-Coil-ECHO-e-Cartomizers-5pk-FREE-SHIPPING-ECARTO-e.htm...holds 2.1mls of juice...they work excellent on an ego battery.

One thing I will note about these, the longer you use one, it improves. A lot of cartomizers get better in performance with usage. Boge is the only one that pretty much stays the same in terms of performance.

Hello,

wow, what a great bunch of responses.....
I guess you guys talked me into some LR cartos before tossing my eGo set....
It seems like the bundle offer at Crystal Clear Vaping is unbeatable in price....
How do I have to refill these cartos?

Thanks again for all the good advice.

Alex

...lotssa ways to fill/refill...I, personaly don't use the condom method...to messy/fiddly for my lazy .......for the longer cartos like the 1.7 Resurrectors, I use a syringe on the first fill...take syringe and pull plunger back a couple ml worth...insert into juice bottle, turn upside down and push air in...pull back on plunger to the amount of liquid wanted(about 2ml) turn bottle back up and remove needle...slide needle down side of carto and inject juice into the bottom at two or three places...set syringe aside...look at top of carto and it should be kinda slushy looking, if not, drip some down the inside of barrel until you get that slushy look...give a little blow into the barrel end, clean threads and connect up and vape...I also use the "fill and flood" method...remove top condom and donut...squeeze juice in until it is flooded to top...wait a little until absorbs and flood again...wait a little and drip some drops in until it gets that slushy look...remove bottom condom/plug, give a little blow to barrel end to clear air passage, clean up threads and connect and vape........

I have a 510-compatible e-pipe mode, not eGo batteries (well, I have one as a back up), but this doesn't matter. After struggling with eGo-T-A for two months I gave up and tried, I think, almost all available 510/eGo attys/cartos. I've found Giantomizers to work better all for me. But for the last week I use eGo Mega Dual Coils and find them seems to work even better. A very consistent vape what I like about them. Easy to refill, big volume, more than 3 mls. The only issue with them is they are low-resistance, so they drain batteries faster. But what the problem, just buy a couple of new eGo batteries and always have a freshly recharged battery with you.

At least give the new fluxomizers from Gotvapes a try, or maybe the Vision Deux for a larger size tank. The new deluxe models really seem to shine for me...no leaking, and with the mod to remove the inner plug and use only the smaller ring, the vapor and hit are second to none. The 2.4-2.6 ohm models work great with the ego batteries. Gotvapes has got lots of stuff to dress up the ego line. The only problem is that these things are so popular they sell out fast.

I been using the ego -t mega tank and B low res cylinder atomizer. I use the silicone type caps on the mega tank and do not get any e-juice in mouth with a 80pg/20vg mixture.
I first used the A type tank ( smaller tank with standard atomizer) and hard type tank cap and would get juice in mouth so i switched .
I also rotate 3 - 1000mah ego batteries each one lasting a full day going thru about 6ml of juice a day and batteries now 5 months old and still performing like new. Hope i did not jinx myself.
I also learned how to replace the wick and clean the atomizers from a local shop here and it works very well.
I do like the ego system but find myself looking at all the other devices out there now since joining the forum and will eventually try something else and keep the ego as a back up.
Best to you.

Here's my honest opinion. Since I started out with an ego-t as well. The next step to the tank system would be a good bottom feeder. Has all the features that your looking for and more. MUCH better performance, battery life, amount of nicquid it carries, and everything else.

It's very convenient and easy to use. I've become a VERY big fan of REO's since that's what I chose to go with after my ego-t:

Reos Mods
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dates-sales-information-most-recent-info.html
reosmods.com

One thing to mention is that this IS a high end mod and the best known bottom feeder on the market. Also, it's the only one that's made from aircraft aluminum. Which means it's almost indestructible. People have dropped their mods in the water and it still works after replacing the atty and batts. Run over them with cars, etc. etc. You get the idea.
