Whatever happen to vape flavor ban scare? I've been outta the loop.

I'm wondering here. At first I thought that big tobacco companies were going to try and get rid of vapes, but instead it seems like they've turned around embraced a multimillion dollar market of e cigarettes. I feel a little crazy saying what I'm about to say, because I've never liked lobbying in the government. Of course the tobacco industry has only taken interest in e cigs because of the potential of huge financial gains, but that being said, did they actually prevent the vape industry with it's rainbow of flavors from being wiped out? The vape industry itself is a massive money maker, removing it would take away or harm lots of jobs businesses, and revenues. The government tax on e liquid really brought prices up, but they too just want the extra money generated off of these products being sold, so banning them means less money funneled to them too.

Are we safe? For now? Forever? Hopefully they just leave vaping alone like they do with cigarettes and blunts. Not like they're trying to ban berry flavored Cheyenne's. Man those things are nasty but they have their place I guess. Anyways, thoughts? I've been totally out of the loop. Ive seen tons of flavored disposables still covering the shelves of gas stations tho.

Actual atomisers, mods and liquids have to go through stringent approval now.

Disposable have got round that somewhat though, and that's not necessarily a good thing. As they're not made in the country of sale, so all sorts of shady things are possible when it comes to the liquids they use.

Nicotine levels of approx 50mg/ml are seen with some, which is kind of high if you ask me. And that's what they disclose to the public/consumer, they don't seem to have been tested at all.

And if they're caught out, all they have to do is liquidate the business and rebrand creating a new company.

I didn't realize the regulations were that much more strict. I've still been able to find the stuff I use pretty easily. I don't really like those little disposables or the salt nic pods much either. I believe it's way too easy to overdo the nicotine consumption. I got a box of free ones and I believe it led to me relapsing to cigarettes when they ran out but also due to work stress and not feeling like I was not able to vape enough in a short amount of time.

Well this is it with disposables, you don't really know anything much about the liquid apart from what they tell you.

Pretty much all of the juices I liked are now long gone. I've been relegated to finding flavors that I'm okay with, and mixing it myself. I've done okay, but I sure would prefer to be vaping NLV or The Vapor Room stuff (among others).

I like higher PG (65-80%) and higher nic (1.5-1.8%) than is commonly available in 2023. Cloud Chuckers beat Tootle Puffers in that regard.

So be it.

Regarding the larger scale, the fight is over. Government and BT won (very, very sadly at that).

No flavored (other than tobacco) eliquid has FDA approval.
If it's on the market it is illegal or still being reviewed.
However, FDA enforcement has been spotty to nonexistent.
Even Vuse was denied menthol flavored:
