Why would I be getting a burned taste when I use the ego

Try turning down the power, watts or volts, whichever mode you've selected. Burning is usually from either too high a power level, or inadequate liquid flow. (That can often be from chain vaping, among other things.)

You might also want to check to see if your Zmax is in RMS mode, which gives a more even power application.

Ah, well then...

IIRC, that's a fixed voltage device. Not sure of your topper, but it could just be time to replace it, or clean and dry burn, if that's an option.

If your topper is a top coil, or foam filled, then wicking can be a problem. Top fills need to be tipped sideways and twirled to re-soak the wick, especially when the liquid level starts to get low. If it's a foam filled topper, it could just be that the foam (or cotton or...) is getting gunked. That would cause you to draw longer and harder, and generate the burning taste. If that's the case, probably no hope of ever getting rid of it, so a new one is in order.

The tank is where the juice goes, yes. I started with a triton (after a pack of Blu as well) and loved it.

I liked having multiple tanks because I like having multiple juice flavors at hand. So i keep a few tanks around full in case I want to switch over to another flavor. Also because every so often the tanks die and having a backup is a good idea.

I got my Zmax in today. I went to my local shop for some juice and was discussing it with them and they said for me to get more vapor out of it that I need something with at least dual coil. They said that they don't make tank with dual coils. I was told I had to get a RDA or RBA not sure which one it is but I don't want to have to keep rewetting the wick after every 5 puffs

Cool! Glad you like it.

Sounds like the tank is a top coil unit. Could be in the CExx line, or maybe an Innokin IClear... The string is the wick, and the coil is near the top of the clearo. Other things being equal, tp coils usually give a slightly warmer vape than bottom coil ones. Which type to use depends on what you like

You can select either variable voltage or variable wattage mode, not both. Both achieve the same thing - letting you control the power (heat) to the coil. Different resistances need different voltages to have the same heat. Same heat, same vapor. And some flavors taste better at different heat.

So in VV mode, you directly control the voltage. In VW mode, you tell the mod what amount of heat you want, and it automatically controls the voltage for you. That way, changing coils, or to a different topper, the mod still delivers the same heat to the coil, and your vape (theoretically) tastes the same.

Whichever mode you choose to use is fine - it's your mod

To get a feel for how the changes work, do this.
You're already set pretty low on volts, so increase volts by about 0.2, and vape.

Like it? Repeat the step.

Repeat until it starts to taste "off" and then back off a step.

You're done.

(Typically, for most clearo type toppers, somewhere between 3.2 and 4.2 will start to be pretty good. 6 does seem a bit hot! But lots of variables there, flavor, viscosity, condition of coil and wicks...)

If you choose VW mode, the procedure is the same, although the step will be 0.5 W, vs. 0.1 that it can do on VV mode. Start low and work up in steps.

I'd get used to what you have on hand, decide on top/bottom coil, pyrex clearos. Get comfortable before getting so much gear you're overwhelmed.

my personal recommendation is the Kanger evod 1100mah battery with a mini protank II - its the kit I have and have been really happy with it. the tanks are 1.6ML and 1 tank will last me roughly a day and a half - however I am pretty new to this and I am sure a lot of people have their own preferences with more experience than I have.

Anything that is 510 or Ego threaded will fit on your Zmax. Opens up a lot of options. PT3, mini and so on are all in that category.

It does seem like the vendors come out with new toppers every month or so, and within reason it's not a bad idea to try one. There isn't, imo, any single thing that's "right" for every one of us. Our tastes and styles all vary, and only by trying the different hardware are we going to find what we like.

My cousin turned me on to vaping yesterday. I went to the gas station and got one of the disposable blu ecigs. I want to go buy something today but have no idea what I am looking for. What is good. What do I need to get.

I wouldn't buy blu get a nice mod from a local store and buy juices its much more convenient and much wider variety of flavors for you to choose from. You can even mix and match your favorite flavors. With Blu and cartridges you cannot do this. I've been vaping for a while, I even started my own brand and vapor company Glacial Vapor. I've tried cartridges but when i found out about the variety of E-Juices and Liquids i quickly made the switch. I suggest doing the same, you'll love yourself for it. Of coarse right away the mod will be a decent amount of money unless you buy a cheap Ego-T or something just to try it out first, then you could get a mod for about 8 Bucks including shipping on Ebay. But if your just starting out check out our juices we are very low priced for the premium vapor we sell. we have nicotine levels from 0mg-18mg. Personally i like 18mg, I was a pack a day smoker at one point so it works well!

If youd like to contact me check out our website for contact info!
