Typical for a PAD lights person would be 18 mg/ml. Some need one level higher (24 mg/ml), some a level lower (12 mg/ml).

Having at least a bit of the one level higher is handy if you run into "craving" points, like first thing in the morning, after a meal,... it can help get you over a hump.

Good luck!

I was a Marlb ultra light 100's about 25 cigs p/d and started with 18mg. Within 1 month I had dropped to 16 mg. Don't worry your body will tell you if you have too much or too little nic. Up until I went nic free I kept about 4 different strengths, what ever the current mg was, one higher one lower and a 0 mg liquid. Good luck.

I was a True Menthol PAD smoker. Started vaping with 24mg and at first got nic buzzes (a little dizzy), then the buzzes stopped and it gave me slight headaches. Dropped to 18mg and still got slight headaches. Then dropped to 12mg and now I can vape all I want with no headache. I think because the True Menthols were so low in nic that I was overdosing a bit on 24 or 18mg and I vape around 3 to 4ml a day. You're going to have to find what's best for you because there is only one of you in this world. I do think your body will tell you whether your nic content is too high or too low. Good Luck!

I started off at 24 because I figured the more nicotine, the less I'd vape. Well, I've grown to love vaping so much that I find myself using it more and more to the point where I start getting that slight sickly feeling from too much nicotine. I just got a bottle of 18mg and I am enjoying it MUCH more.

I smoked a pack of Parliament Lights a day.

I was over one pack a day of ultra lights and so I started with 12mg- I seemed to have withdrawal issues so it was suggested to go to 24mg. After 6 weeks I have now gone with 18mg so will see where that goes. I have both and mix them but as said earlier here, it will take some testing to see what works for you. It also depends upon what flavor and where you buy- lots of choices out there! If you get a flavor you do not like, hang onto it - our taste buds will change and you may like it later as someone told me and that was true. Whatever, however, we are off the nasties and therefore it's all good, ha!

Agree with the type of juice and drinking water. It seems like vaping makes my throat really dry, and drinking water is a big help. I also switched from a 70pg/30vg juice to 100% vg and that also seems to have improved the feeling in my throat. It almost felt like the pg juice was "building up" at the point in the back of my throat where the vapor hit constantly.

Not sure how or if the nicotine levels effects the throat issue though.

If I vape too much in the evenings my throat can be sore so maybe I should have a less mg available for that?

Personally, that's why I vape higher nic and high PG. So I won't vape so much. Same with cigs. If you want to vape a lot, lower the nic and you can definitely vape more that way if that's what you want to do. Nothing wrong with that.

Vape low mg- vape a lot. Vape high mg- vape less. Really the same thing.

Hmmm... I thought that higher nic was the issue but must not be for some. I am trying to keep this as simple as possible, tho I have yet to find a tobacco juice that I love. Guess it's all about preference.

I was a 2-2.5 pad Marlboro medium started with 24mg and chain vaped. 5 weeks later I am still at 24mg but vape about half as much as I started. I tried some 36mg juice that had no TH and it didn't satisfy me as much as the 24mg with TH. IMO juice with great TH is very important to switching to e-cig. Without it no way could I have stopped the analogs even with high nic.
