I just replaced flavor wicks on an Evod just using a cotton ball which I pulled strands off and rolled tightly. I didn't get any leaking or gurgling but flavor seed off. Am I missing a step?
100%cotton Cheesecloth! I've tried a bunch of different types and for me this is best hands down! Easiest to work with and has the shortest break-in time, and also it doesn't expand as much as softer types, so your wicks don't get too choked up by the coils after they swell.
That's my experience also. I have the loose weave cheese cloth from wally world. With a new wick, I get a hint of the 'fresh linen' taste on the first couple of puffs but it disappears really quick.
