Well let me start by saying that the counter at the bottom of my posts is correct. I quit smoking just over 7 years ago. Why I started vaping would be another post but it amounted to the fact that I missed the relaxation of the act itself. I do NOT however use nicotine in my juices.

After smoking for 24 years, then picking up vaping I've noticed a few things that are strickingly different between the two. We have pets in our house and always have. I've noticed that, when I smoked, our pets would go out of the room or at least stay away from me while I was puffing on a traditional cigarette. Now our pets hardly even notice I'm vaping. It doesn't bother them one bit. I mean they don't even flinch.

Another thing that has come to light is bugs. I use to sit outside on warm summer nights smoking a cigarette and relaxing. All the while keeping the bugs at bay. Now they fly right up to my face as I exhale. It's almost like an attractant to mosquitos . I know it's just the CO2 I'm exhaling. But the fact is that the vapor doesn't bother them in the least.

All this speaks volumes. It's my belief (and is back up by many studies) that the anmial kingdom has, in most part, a built in defense mechanism that will, at the very least, tell if something is not good and should be stayed away from, should be looked into, or is something that they need not be concerned with. So if anmials aren't too concerned with the vapor we exhale the why are so many others so worried about it?

Just a thought.

Lol - someone else who recently switched noticed that about his dogs too. They stay inside a lot more since he started vaping, rather than hanging out on the porch all the time when he and his DW were smokers. The dogs choice - not the owner's.

My cat used to "bury" my ash trays. Took a sniff at an ash tray and would promptly dispatch it off the coffee table. Or the desk... Or the night stand...

Animals are so much smarter about this stuff than humans.

Can't help but picturing a committee of raccoons examining the health aspect of vaping. National Geographics needs to look into this, imo.

My dog does the same thing, he's a.d.d. Always wants attention 24/7. I love him to death but it seems like the only way I'd get a break from him was when I'd light up a cigarette on the couch he'd give me dirty looks and haul ... out the doggie door. Now he could be laying in his bed snoring to the high heavens then all of a sudden he smells the vape, wakes up and comes running over waving his nose in the air practically begging me to blow it in his face. He loves it. I guess he thinks it's food or something due to the smell.

For a couple of days I had a gnat in my apartment and it never showed up until I started vaping...then it would be flying around in the clouds as I vaped.
I was silently wondering whether my vape (fruits, 50/50 - 50/75) was attracting this thing.
I thought I may have been losing my mind.
Now I can take my tinfoil hat off, lol

Glad I am not alone.

Never take your tinfoil hat off! They want you to feel complacent, then when you take it off... BAM, that's when they get you!

Maybe I am different. Seems to be like that lately. I have 2 rescue beagles. We got them 2 weeks before they were to be put to death for different reasons.

I never smoked inside the house, it was my choice. The smaller Beagle would always jump on my laughed whether I had a smoke or not. The larger (half hound) would snuggle in between my legs for it's pets while I was smoking.

Mosquitoes are bad this year. I got bit when I smoked and I get bit now even with 4 torches 3 small candles and Avon spray on. At around 11 pm it gets unbearable outside with the skeeters.
