What is the daily grind with the ego?

I've been asking around on the forum, but I'm at a research standstill. I am looking for something that involves the least amount of hassle possible. I saw the juicebox mod in feb, thinking that would end my analog life for good, but it was, as you guys say, dead on arrival.
I love the idea of a juice feed system so that I never ever EVER have to refill a cart/carto or drip again, but the box just doesn't fit well in the pocket. I like the look of the eGo, and its getting amazing reviews, but I don't like the idea of filling and refilling cartos every hour.

What is the daily grind with the eGo? How often do you have to refill the cartos? what is, in your opinion, the optimum setup for the eGo? and where should I buy it if I decide to?

Oh, and what is a drip tip? they didn't have those in Feb.

Thanks,
Aiden

I've found that a Mega Cart and Mega atty the best combination. Cart will hold 1.5 - 2mL of
juice with a blue foam mod. Simple no leaks, lasts quite a while with good flavor, good vapor
production and good wicking. Carry some 3mL sample bottles to re-fill as needed.

The blue foam is a must IMO to be able to wick fast enough to supply the mega atty. I dry burned
a mega atty (after a quick water rinse, just too many flavors in there) and the coil lit up enough
to light up the room!! Slight exaggeration but I could actually see the difference in size of the coil
compared to a standard 510, 801, 901 and it's huge. It need a constant supply of juice to work well
and the blue foam allows you to customize the size to your juice thickness and wick properly.
Can't do this with a carto, I've tried regular, LR, mega carto and was disappointed in vapor production
and ease of use.

I'm quite happy using regular ce2 carto's on my egos. They last a few hours on one fillup, easy to change and refill. Had a few minor problems with the blue foam, it worked ok. Tried the 510 maga carts, they were ok too. The biggest problem with the ego type b atty was that I kept setting it on the flat battery end and it would leak(think I would learn not too, but...). The ce2 has not leaked yet doing that.

The genuine Joye super ego kit has a HUGE atomizer the same diameter at the battery. 2x 900mah batteries. The cartridges hold over 2ml of liquid and the batteries last all day long before needing a recharge. The chargers that come with them are more powerful and can recharge a 900mah battery in 3 hours. You can drip with them with the xl drip tip, but they tend to leak when you try to drip with them. It's best to use it with the cartridges or ego mega cartomizer, also same diameter as the battery. The battery will surely last all day and you might have to refill the cartridge once during the day if you are a very heavy vaper. Truly a hassle free pv in my opinion. The batteries and atomizers come with a 6 month warranty. We got ours from Health Cabin. I haven't seen them anywhere else.

If you don't want to refill carts etc. then perhaps the eGo is not the eCig for you. Maybe a reo.

That having been said, I use an eGo with the mega atty and mega cart. I leave for work in the morning with a fully charged battery and full cart and I'm fine until I get home 10 hours later. Most of the time I don't refill until the next morning... YMMV.

I've been reading about this new eGo-T (or Tornado Tank System if you go thru TotallyWicked) and the technology seems awesome! Apparently TheVaporPro.com was set to stock them, and then delay them by 3-4 months (so roughly March-April 2011) because of "several problems" with the tank system. I have asked TotallyWicked if these problems have affected their decision to stock the device, but haven't gotten a response (just emailed him about 5 minutes ago, so I'm not complaining, PillBox). I don't know if I should just wait for this technology and stick with analogs for now, or just go in a completely different direction with a boxmod bottom feeder...

Here's my suggestion. A riva battery, with KR-808-D jumbo cartomizers (you will have to buy a 510 to KR 808-D adapter) Battery will last most of the day (depending how much you vape) and the cartomizers holds 2 ml of juice so they last a long time :).

+1 ...... works great!

I bought a Vape Mate and two stainless steel drip tips from Super T. I haven't used a cart or a cartomizer since. I bought the drip tips first, and really liked dripping, but I was still using carts for my 1/2 hour drive to and from work. Now I always carry two eGos with me, one with a drip tip, and one with the VM on it to use when I'm driving. I LOVE my Vape Mate.

very close to buying an ego XL straight from jantyusa (so i know its real). I guess my plan is to use it until the tank system comes out. Its just so much money ($140 for the kit and a couple bottles of liquid, an extra XL round atty, and extra XL carts). I don't want to drop this money but I don't want to smoke analogs anymore.

Where did you all get your eGos from? I am considering buying from either puresmoker or jantyusa. Jantyusa has a much beefier kit for more cash, but they offer like 4 different kinds of atomizers, not including LRs: there's the Dura-eGo atty (which i assume is the standard 510), Dura-eGo MEGA atty, eGo XL cone, and eGo XL round. Each atty (i believe) has a specific cart to go along with it. This is very very confusing, especially considering the kit comes with two drip tips...will they work on all of these attys? I'm so confused! one of the biggest problems with e-cigs is all the name-changing.

Frankly, $30 for a Riva 510 kit (2 750 mAh batteries) from liberty flights (current sale), and a couple packs of Boge 2 ohm cartos is something I'm enjoying. The Boge cartos are rubber tip, so you either condom fill or pop the tip and fill from the top, a couple of hours solid use time between refills.

Alternately, I do really like my 808 stuff too, using the G400 900 mAh batteries with Mega or Jumbo 2 ml cartos is a sweet combination.

(I use the 2 ohm on 510 because I like the warmth of the 808 with 3 ohm cartos, 2 ohm on 510 gets around the same watts.)

You'll need to use the LF 20% off discount code for the price -- it's listed on their Web site.

$30 for a Riva is a steal. Do that one!
