what is a modded phoenix?

Probably the 1/16 air hole, or the genesis setup. The former being more likely

People have modded these RBAs for better airflow and/or to allow use with bottomfeeders. Some have adapted to a verticle coil. Modding a Phoenix means you adapted it, yourself, to perform differently than its stock form.

Lightly file the air hole to adjust (increase) the draw
