This is a dumb question maybe, but I'm not sure of the answer to it and therefore it can't be completely dumb I suppose.

What happens if a mod were to fall into the bathtub filled with water while you were in the bathtub?

Would the device simply stop working and it would die?

Or is there any danger involved, because of the batteries (current/voltage etc.)?

I always used to smoke when taking baths before, and now I usually have my vape next to me when taking baths. It's pretty relaxing to be taking a nice, hot bath while vaping on my fav juices.

I haven't yet dropped any vape into water yet, and the OP is more of a "What if?" question.

 You’re a die hard vaper

Not even a brief break while having a soak.

Best of luck to ya buddy. From what I know, electronics and water don’t go that well together.
I agree - If you have to vape in the tub - maybe have like a piece of tubberware that floats and keep your vape in that. Still, I do not think it is a good idea with wet hands and stuff and would not chance it.

This one is supposedly waterproof Aegis Kit

Great! Thanks for replies! The main thing that I was concerned about was any potential danger to myself, so I'm relieved to hear that.

I'm more concerned about myself than my mod of course. I can always buy another one of those if something were ever to happen to it.

I didn't know that waterproof vapes existed, interesting.

Nope, there is simply not enough voltage to make any current run through your body.

If it's not waterproof your device will most likely die. You could try jumping out of the bath and dunking the mod into a bucket of isopropyl but I wouldn't count on it. Especially if it has an internal battery I'd just call it dead.

You won’t get electrocuted, but if the battery shorts out it might be about as relaxing as bathing with a bottle rocket.

Hey, Johnny Knoxville made millions being half naked with a bottle rocket...

My wife's Iphone took a dunk a couple months ago and rice worked. It took nearly a week though and by the fourth day I'd just about given up. Glad I gave it one more try before recycling it! It also worked for my MIL's phone the year before.

For a mod with electronics it may be worth a shot. Nothing to lose!

rice worked
It really didn't. If anything putting your electronics in a bag of rice for a long amount of time makes the water evaporate slower and gives more opportunity for corrosion (which is what'll kill your electronics in the end).
Just because the phone worked after one week in rice doesn't mean the rice did anything.

Like I said dry it as quickly as possible (but obviously not with excessive heat) or displace the water by submerging in isopropyl. Getting the water away from the contacts is the goal and rice doesn't achieve that. At all.
