Ohm's is the resistance of the coil IIRC. The higher the ohms are, the cooler it will burn. And likewise, the lower the ohms, the hotter it will burn.
Yes, the 2.8-3.0ohm ones will work just fine. You might find more happiness in lower resistance, as many have, but some people enjoy standard resistance.
What battery are you using them with? Yes 2.8 - 3.0 ohm will work but if you aren't using high enough voltage with it you'll be getting a weak vape. I use the 2.8-3.0 Ce2 at 4.2 volt and up, usually at or above 4.5.
If you're using a proprietary battery like the Ego that is around 3.4v then I'd wait till they get some lower ohms in stock. They might be ok on a true 3.7 battery but the voltage is going to drop with those as the battery is drained.

Any battery with 450mah or larger battery (including Riva) can use a variety of ohms. 2.8 - 3.0 (if you mean something like cartos) are great to try first and what I use all the time. Then if you want hotter ones,try something around 2.0 ohm (Boge cartos) or the 2.4ohm Fluexomizers which will also use your battery charge up faster.
Slim ecigs have to use the standard resistance ones (2.8-3.0 ohm) or maybe things down to about 2.5 ohm would be OK. But slim batteries risk damage if lower ohms like 2.0 are used because they use power faster. Lower ohms sucks the battery charge faster and make more heat. Ohm is a measure of electrical resistance.
Riva can definitely use anything in 2.0 to 3.0 and some people will go below 2.0 (other thick resistances in the 1's are safest to use on mods with removable industrial batteries)
Re Fluxomizers - only buy the Deluxe ones - they have the new tubing that supposedly will not crack. And be sure to select the syringe to be added to your order (or the syringe bottle). Also - in general, reservoir cartos like the thickness of 20-30% VG juices. Thinner will work, but thicker (more VG) may or may not wick well enough depending on whether the vendor thins their juices.
