I have my keys on a carabiner as well, I put them on a belt loop near the back right pocket, and drop the keys into the back pocket to keep them from jangling.

I hate things in my pockets as I can't stand the bulk and it's uncomfortable.
Wallet goes in back pocket and has been cleaned out recently cause it got too fat...sadly not fat in a good way.
Zen PV goes in the little zippo pocket of my jeans quite nicely.
iPhone goes in other back pocket when I need hands free.
Keys go in the hand as there's no way I'm sticking them in my pocket even though there's not really much on the ring.
Benchmade knife clipped inside front pocket rounds everything off.

You can definitely go with a vest like that but be warned, you'll have to buy a creel, some elk hair/hooks & you may possibly be traveling to Montana for the caddis hatch. On the bright side, women go nuts over a floppy hat & some good tying skills. Not sure where the ammo part comes into play, we have different vests for that up here.
I'm usually wearing a sport coat - so I just keep it in my breast pocket. When I'm not, I keep it in my pants pocket, no problem. I just take it out if I'm sitting down. spinner1300/PT2 or 3. If I ever snapped one of my tanks off while it was in my pocket - I'd probably just switch to an evod or something that feels like it has a little more structural integrity.
During the year I spend wandering around Europe, I acquired a European men's carry-all. Perfectly acceptable.
I keep my provari mini in an eyeglass bag in my left front pocket. My phone in my right front pocket. My wallet in my back pocket. And my keys either on my desk at work, or in my other back pocket if I'm going in a store briefly.
But on my keychain I only have a few keys, a car fob, and a small garage door opener. No flashlights, swiss army knives, or foldable shovels.

I only use my evod for burning coils and I haven't used tanks that use that sort of coil in some time...LOLThey make a great place to stash an evod.
...might have to work that into a range drill somehow, the "FTF because I slapped a PV into my magwell" drill, lol.
