What are the drawbacks of 100% PG E-Juice?

By accident I purchased a 50/50 blend of ejuice. It tasted like licking a bottle of Crisco. So I then got another bottle of the same flavor that was 100% PG in order to cut the 50/50. Before mixing the two together I filled my empty tank with the 100% PG for S&Gs. WOW!!! It was like unicorns and angles were dancing on my tongue. So tasty, so delicious. It has me thinking why do I want any VG?

For me its about two things. #1 my nicotine fix. #2 the taste. I honestly don't care about seeing clouds of anything coming out my mouth or nose. SO am I missing something or should I just go 100% PG from now on?

I find more than 50% pg irritates my throat. If pg works for you, use it. B carefull with that flavour difference though. I suspect you will find that not all juices taste so much better in pg. A little more experimentation might be a good thing here

Congrats on your decision to quit smoking. (Im assuming) You are not missing anything. With the parameters you just described, 100% PG juice may be your thing. PG gives you more throat hit, flavor, and much less vapor. VG gives you more vapor but can mute flavors. The amount of nic in your juice has an influence also. The first juice I ordered was 100% PG, I found it to be a little harsh and little to no vapor. I went the opposite of you. Most of what I vape now is 50/50 (PG/Vg) but I have 70/30 and 60/40 that I like a lot. All of our taste buds are different. Go with what works best for you. GL

I find that to much PG irritates my throat, so I mix mine at 50/50. YMMV, just because it irritates my throat doesn't mean that it will irritate yours.

Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 5- 15%- could be higher or lower depending on the flavor used.
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like - many of us believe PG to be a throat irritant.
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG.
Sometimes if the juice is too thick/ high VG wicking problems occur. Sometimes if the juice is too thin/ high PG leaking/ flooding can occur.
Coils, wicks, cartos definitely last longer and require less maintenance with a high PG juice but some find PG to give too harsh a vape.

You're welcome. It's all really up to the individual. Some like warm vapes while others like cool vapes. Some start at 18, 24 or even 36 mg. Whatever you find gives yourself the best vape experience...run with and enjoy it

I use an 80PG/20VG mix only because 100% PG irritates my mouth. I also think 100% PG gives me the most satisfaction, though and would still be mixing it that way if I could.
