I've been trying for a while to really quit smoking and can't seem to find my comfort zone yet. I tried picking up a Blu ecig the other day with 2.4% nicotine and my problem is I have to pull on it extremely hard to get anything and it doesn't satisfy me but if I pick up an analog and smoke it I feel instantly satisfied (I smoke Pall Mall red 100's) and about half a pack a day or maybe a little more. I've thought about buying a vuse ecig instead but I've read that they contain 4.8% nicotine and I'm afraid it may be too much for me. What would you do in my situation, try the vuse anyway and see what happens?

Why not. There are a lot of better options out there than the convenience store ones, but the choices are endless and you will get 1000 recommendations. Just keep trying until you get one that works for you. I had to start at 3.6% nic and vape like a madman to quit, now I am at .6% and have no desire for a cig. Good Luck in your Journey. :)

I started with Blu's, but all they really did for me was show me that this vaping thing had potential. They weren't good enough to get me off the smokes completely. When I finally went to a B&M vape shop and got a good ego-style kit and better juice, I was off the smokes pretty quickly. I didn't plan to quit smoking, but I liked vaping more. I still like the Blu's for driving around town, and they have a couple of flavors that I can't get anywhere else. I would say try the Vuse and see what you think. If the nic is too much, put it down for a while. It might be what you need if a craving gets really bad.

If you have a B&M in your town, I would suggest a visit to see what they have for you to try. Don't let them sell you a big fog machine just because that's what they have. I would hope they also have some beginner kits and people to help you get started. I'm sure some of the other folks in here can offer some suggestions for good starter kits. There are some newer AIO (all in one) kits that will have the battery built in and replaceable coils. You might want to try one of those with a few flavors of juice to get started.

Good luck on your journey, and I hope you can find the right things to get you off the smokes. :thumb:

It's probably the auto switch that making the drag hard? If you got a Joye 510 with a button it might be easier. Then you can use any atty you want also.

There are also cig-likes that fire @ full power (4.2volts) that might be good.

I think I'd have to try the NJOY tho. They stepped up and sued the government to keep vaping going...

Well here's the problem, I do have a mod and several tanks and have tried different mg juices in them 24 being the highest ive tried and lowest was 3 and the propylene glycol gives me way too much of a throat hit in the 24mg and still doesn't give me that satisfied feeling that a smoke would. I'm just worried that if I try the vuse it's gonna hurt my throat too much and I'm gonna end up wasting 10 dollars or more I could've used on something else

Here is the problem, imho.. your throat is messed up from smoking (I had the same problem after 32 years of smoking) and your using a very high nicotine content..(nicotine is a high contributor to throat hit)

If you get a more powerful device, you can lower your nicotine level a bit, as well as vape a max vg more comfortably..

I don't have problems vaping a max vg in a nautilus mini tank or the nautilus x, and if you upgrade to a device like the innokin svd v2 that has the dna 20 board, it will probably be a better fit for you.

Other than that you will have a small period of time for your throat to heal and get used to vaping..

What ever you decide, a small investment is worth it if you stop smoking. Many of us "wasted" a bit of money finding what works best. For myself, I spent a lot on Blu before researching my other options.

I started with blu and it showed me vaping was going to help me quit smokin
So did I, but it was when they first started the company in 2009 and after I got my first kit and carts, and realized I liked it, but I found out shipping time on more carts was 6 to 8 weeks because they were overloaded with orders  So I started the long trip to find something else that would work. Boy have I spent a LOT of money over the years.

I seem to recall the earlier evolve boards not having step down voltage, might be a problem...?

back in 2013 there was not much of anything here in Canada, outside of a couple of flea market booths ... no vape shops, no blu, no vuse and certainly no nicotine ... all the cigalikes were no nic (and still are).

I knew blu kits and carts were in every corner store in the USA ... so I had Mom bring me a kit from Florida, I knew right away I could quit smoking with this ... however, no sooner had she returned to Florida, the 3 packs of 5 carts were almost gone.

I went to the flea market and bought an eVic with some crappy juice while I waited for Mom to send up more blu carts ... by the time the new blu carts arrived, I had quit smoking with the eVic and crappy flea market juice.

either way I was winning

When I tried quitting smoking I looked into vaping. I was one of those people who didnt know what to look for or what to research so I googled "best vape to quit smoking" and came up with one of those phony top ten lists that have a bunch of no name brands at top tier prices. Ended up with a cigalike that was insanely priced from "Mig-Cigs". (Around 90 dollars for two batteries and five cartomizers)... Yeah I got ripped off hard-core but it was worth every penny as it got me off smokes and introduced me to vaping.

Have you tried changing the ratio of PG and VG in your juices? There was a poster in another thread that mentioned problems with her liquids and someone asked if she might be more sensitive to one part of the base than the other. If you are running high PG, have you tried high VG in a similar nic level? Does your mod give you the option to turn down the power and use a higher ohm coil for a cooler vape? There are so many variables to vaping that it can take a while to find your sweet spot.
