Hi, today let's take a look at ARGUS E40 Kit sent to me by VOOPOO. In this Test I will examine each of the characteristics that distinguish this item. I hope that at the end of this reading you can understand this product, and therefore decide whether to invest in it or not. As always, my opinions are free and based on my personal experience.

The laminated silver packaging has a Hi-Tech appearance that for some reason resembles a printed circuit board; the texture is made of intersecting lines and geometric figures that light up against the light, a truly beautiful decoration. On the front of the package, the manufacturer's brand is located at the top, just below there is the name of the device, on the right we find an image of the device. The name of the device appears on the back of the box at the top, the contents of the package are listed below, followed by the address with manufacturer contacts, logos & brands and the inevitable warnings on the use of nicotine. The two long sides contain; the main features in the form of icons, the QR Code, the anti-counterfeiting Scratch and Check and the bar code.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; First Impressions:
After receiving the Argus G2 Mini, VOOPOO also sent me the ARGUS E40. This is another Pod device but with more advanced features and incredibly broad flexibility of use. Visually, at first glance you can understand that it is a powerful device, not so much due to the height dimensions which are limited as much as its little sister Argus G2 Mini. The impression of power that is obtained is due more than anything else to the large cartridge and the generously sized diameter of the ARGUS E40. The first thing I thought was that inside ARGUS E 40 there had to be a large battery, and I didn't mind this at all, the other pleasant surprise was to note the presence of a small display + LED, for a complete and well-made information section. This kit immediately transmits good feedback on structural solidity thanks to a rather massive but really well balanced weight which makes the E40 rather ergonomic to handle. By touch you can feel the subtle difference in the materials that make up E40, you can close your eyes, but you will always know which way ARGUS E 40 is turned in your hand.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Super Battery Life:
When I read the technical characteristics I had confirmation of my initial perception of power, I saw that the integrated battery has a capacity of 1,800mAh. So I immediately wanted to put this generously sized battery to the test, and I must say that the result was truly impressive and far beyond my expectations! With a selected power of constant 35W, I managed to consume around 9ml of e-liquid obtaining 337 Puffs, furthermore the charging time is short, quantifiable in around 70 minutes. According to VOOPOO, 2A fast charging reduces charging time by an average of 15%, alleviating the anxiety of low battery. Furthermore, according to VOOPOO, this battery would provide approximately 20% more power than similar products. E40 reaches a maximum power of 40W, and this makes the device suitable for long vaping sessions ranging from MTL to RDL up to enjoying the beginning of the deeper DTL mode. During the cell's discharge cycle I noticed that the power delivered feels full and constant until the end, and this confirms the excellent qualities of this battery. When charging your E40 you will need to lay the device flat as the USB-C charging port is located under the base. Speaking of the bottom base; I really liked VOOPOO's choice to use the rubber coating; this reduces the noise when resting on surfaces but above all considerably increases the grip, keeping the E40 device stable when standing.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Stepless Airflow Adjustment:
For this test VOOPOO sent me a sample in pearl white color which matches very well with the remaining dark parts. The air control system
it is positioned on one side of the E40 and includes a single adjustable buttonhole. The air flow adjustment slider uses a sturdy metal knob which allows for considerable airiness in symbiosis with the high power that can be obtained using the pre-installed 0.3Ω disposable cartridge. Furthermore, this aspect is very useful when planning to purchase empty cartridges to combine with the 0.3Ω/0.45Ω/0.6Ω PnP-X coils for RDL vaping. Of course you can also adjust the flow for MTL vaping narrowly to get a great choked hit with strong hit. The transparent window on the handle of the E40 allows you to observe part of the chipset with what appears to be a cooling system equipped with a fan and pipes. I must say that even if the contraption is fake, it is so well made that it seems real.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Operation Guide:
The E40 frame on the opposite side to the flow adjustment side has an additional fixed air passage hole, just below there is the Fire button which is also used for setting. The key is precise, does not dance and is easy to detect with the fingers thanks to a slight protrusion. On the front there is a very bright display with enlarged fonts for easy data consultation. On the sides of the display there are two LED indicators which take on different colors based on the protection warnings, furthermore these LED lights interface with the battery indicating the current charge level in this way:
• Green LED: High charge percentage
• Blue LED: Average charge percentage
• Red LED: Low charge percentage

On the display you can read; the residual charge percentage, the set power, the resistive value of the coil, the number of puffs. While charging, the remaining time is also shown. To turn on the device, press the button 5 times, with the device turned on, click the button 5 times to access the menu, then you can select; the reset of the puffs counter, the vape mode with only the automatic puff or with the automatic puff + the manual puff, or you can select to turn off the mod, once you have identified the setting to be changed you can confirm by clicking once on the button. The installed Gene Chip automatically selects the power to apply to each coil, furthermore on the VOOPOO website: https://www.voopoo.com/software.html#service you can download the application for any future updates.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Pod compartment:
At the bottom of the compartment, you can see 4 oval shaped magnets one for each corner, this position of the magnets allows for a solid attachment of the Pod, in the center there are gold plated spring loaded pins for better electrical conductivity. Also on the bottom there is the sensor for automatic extraction. You can use the disposable Argus E40 cartridges or the new empty cartridges for replaceable PnP-X coils indifferently.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Coils Platform:
The ARGUS E40 device is compatible with the pre-installed ARGUS E40 disposable cartridge and the empty ARGUS PnP X cartridge. The empty ARGUS PnP X cartridge is compatible with replaceable PnP X coils. Both cartridges are currently not compatible with any other VOOPOO devices already launched. The table below shows all available options. * Attention; the nicotine concentration shown in the image probably refers to liquids with nicotine salts. With Freebase + boost everything changes; these are high performance coils, they deliver nicotine great, so it is better to use them with a low boost level, 3mg/ml or at most 6mg/ml are more than sufficient to obtain a substantial "hit in the throat".

The kit includes 2 disposable ARGUS E40 cartridges of 0.6Ω and 0.3Ω (pre-installed). These dark colored cartridges are transparent and have a large capacity of 4.5ml. Refilling e-liquid can be done quite conveniently by lifting the side silicone tab.

ARGUS E40 with its 40W of maximum power is able to support 0.3,0.45 and 0.6Ω PnP X coils. The Coils PnP The PnP X cartridge and replaceable PnP X coils can be purchased separately.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Vaping Test:
The test was performed using a single e-liquid; Crispy Premium. This was to grasp the various facets and to better compare all the cartridges and coil options I had available.

• Argus E40 0.3Ω 4.5ml cartridge (pre-installed):
The Gene AI 2.0 chipset automatically sets the power to 35W, this cartridge gives an exceptional aroma from the first shots, as a lover of RDL shooting I was truly amazed both in terms of aroma and hits, with this configuration I managed to repeatedly make 300 /350 shots in a day of use consuming approximately two tanks of liquid before having to recharge the device

• Argus E40 0.6Ω 4.5ml cartridge:
The Gene AI 2.0 chipset automatically sets the power to 20W, the flavor is good straight away, with the air closed you can get a tight shot but not too much, with a good hit in the throat, basically a cross between MTL and RDL. By opening the air flow and increasing the power up to a max of 25W the vapor clouds become denser and the flavor remains concentrated without too much dispersion. With this 20W configuration I covered my daily needs without any problem, during the day I managed to finish a tank, with still a lot of energy reserve, it seems like an excellent solution for those who don't like carrying around a bottle of liquid or power bank.

• Argus PnP-X cartridge with 0.3Ω PnP-X coils:
This coil is the combination that I liked most of all. The extraordinary reactivity of the mesh allows for satisfactory use even with very low selected powers, however the 35W recommended by Gene AI 2.0 really seems to be perfect for expressing its maximum potential while maintaining a certain balance with the energy consumption of the battery. Vaporization is always smooth and spitting-free. Even by restricting the airflow, the heat generated remains low and you won't get any discomfort on your lips. Depending on how the AFC system is adjusted while moving in the 32-40W range (recommended by the chip), the delicate natural Strawberry aroma intertwined with the creamy flavor of Cereals and Cream is emphasised, it is possible to capture all the aromatic facets with maximized vapor production, especially with the airflow wide open.

• Argus PnP-X cartridge with 0.6Ω PnP-X coils:
With the Smart function activated, the Gene AI 2.0 chip automatically selects the optimal power of 20W for this coil, of course you can lower the power or raise it up to a suggested limit of 25W. The extraordinary responsiveness of the mesh allows for satisfactory use starting from 18W, however the recommended 20W really seems to be perfect for the best balance between performance and life of the 1,800mAh battery. MTL shooting lovers can partialize the air flow to the minimum levels, even completely closed, and will always obtain a fluid and clean shot without spitting. So the MTL performance is definitely satisfying, with a good hit load. The flavor is really robust and concentrated compared to other types of MTL/RDL coils that I normally use.

• Argus PnP-X cartridge with 0.45Ω PnP-X coils:
ARGUS E40 is also compatible with the new 0.45Ω PnP X coils. With the Smart function activated, the Gene AI 2.0 chip automatically selects the optimal power of 28W for this coil. This solution allows you to enrich the vaping experience. In fact, this resistance is located halfway between 0.3Ω and 0.6Ω, in an ideal crossroads that allows you to obtain truly interesting intermediate performances. You can close the air flow in search of the perfect throat hit, or you can completely open the air flow without the flavor dispersing excessively, a truly balanced coil also in terms of battery consumption and the heat that is transmitted to the lips, never annoying.

► VOOPOO ARGUS E40 Kit; Final conclusions:
As we saw during the review ARGUS E40 is an advanced MTL-DTL Pod kit that supports two different cartridge technologies, one disposable and one with PnP X technology. The Argus E40 cartridge option is ideal for the beginner or for those who want to reduce maintenance to a minimum, thanks to the extreme simplicity of use which nevertheless offers excellent performance and zero inconveniences. The PnP data is extremely interesting and significantly reduces the expenses that vapers have to bear. Adjustable power between 5 and 40W and precise airflow adjustment allow any user to customize their vaping preferences MTL, RDL up to the threshold of DTL. The elegant and elongated design makes ARGUS E40 easy to hold in the hand, furthermore the device is equipped with a responsive and effective automatic extraction. The 1,800mAh battery recharges in just over an hour via a 2A Type-C connection, reducing waiting times and maximizing autonomy. Truly a beautiful universal Pod Mod congratulations to VOOPOO!
