Hello and welcome back for another review. Today I will be taking a look at the new Voopoo Argus A Kit that was sent to me by Voopoo in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The Argus A is the first pod device with a dual zone display. It has an internal 1100mah battery with a maximum output of 30 watts. It has an on/off switch and can be used with the screen and light on or off. It is compatible with the Argus family of pods and comes with the 3ml Argus pods that we have seen used on a few different devices so far.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:
The packaging for the Argus A is a white box with a really nice picture of the device contained inside. The Voopoo and Argus A names are bold and in a banner near the top. The 3X upgrade banner in the center refers to the triple upgrade pods included in the kit. The back side of the box has the usual contents list and company information. Mine is marked as a sample in bold letters but is only for review samples.
Once opened, the Argus A is found inside wrapped in a soft cover to protect it during shipping. Included in the kit is the Argus A device, two 3ml pods which are .7 and .4 ohm and hold 3ml of liquid each, a lanyard, user manual, and instruction card.
The Argus A is the first pod with dual zone display and has wattage responded animation. There are three different animations depending on which of the three modes the user chooses. The three output modes are as follows.
1. POWER mode: Adjust the output power as you like.
2. SUPER mode: Match the output power for full-bodied flavor.
3. ECO mode: Match the energy-saving power to reduce e-liquid and battery consumption
The Argus A has a lot of functions and has a full feature menu. The button/menu operation of the Argus A is as follows.
The side opposite of the display has the Argus name etched into it with a dashed line border and design.
One side of the Argus A has the fire/adjustment button near the top followed by an on/off button that makes it very easy for the user to turn the Argus off before stowing it in a pocket or purse for traveling. Near the bottom is the USB-C charging port that is rated for 5V/2A and is able to completely charge the device in approximately 40 minutes since it has an 1100mah battery.
The opposite side has the sliding airflow adjustment. Also you can see in the second picture below that there are holes near the top to install the included lanyard if that is something that you like to use. The Argus A also has a motor vibration reminder. There isn’t really a feature I can think of that it doesn’t have.
The Argus A comes with the .4 and .7 ohm cartridges which are fully upgraded with a 3mL capacity, 30 days without leakage of standing, and a 90ml coil lifespan. Voopoo is calling these top fill pods but in my opinion they are not. A true top fill cartridge to me is one where the mouthpiece comes off and the cartridge can be filled without removing it from the device. These are not that. They have to be removed and the rubber plug is on the side. That being said, these cartridges are very good flavor and vapor producers. The Argus A is compatible with all of the Argus pods including the ones that use the ITO replaceable coils.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The Argus A is a truly versatile and feature packed pod system. It has been a pleasure testing it for this review. The 1100mah battery combined with the 2A fast charging is a great fit and gets the user back up and running quickly.
I very much like the ease of use with the on/off sliding switch on the side so I don’t have to worry about accidental firing but can also turn the fire button off through the menu system to make the Argus A auto fire only. Also it’s a nice feature that the display can be turned off simply by pressing the button twice so you can conserve battery power or just keep things more stealth so not as to draw attention by the display or one of the three animations.
The 3ml capacity of the pods is a nice feature to prolong periods between filling. During my time spent using these new pods across not only the Argus A but other devices that came with the same pods, I have experienced no leaking and virtually no condensation. I don’t know that I’ve run 90ml through any of them but the time I have used them they seem to last a very long time and flavor production has stayed pretty consistent which is very good.
