I placed an order with Viking Vapor on 3/14. I've been getting my juice from V4L, and I love their stuff, but I couldn't keep ordering 5ml bottles waiting for them to restock the bigger bottles. So I decided to branch out. After reading the positive reviews of Viking, I decided to give them a shot. The website mentioned that due to the high volume of orders they've been getting, it may have been a day or two before the order shipped. So I waited a day or two, but still no shipping email.
When I went to check out the site, this is what I found Viking Vapor(or, when the site's back up, they're be a handy link in my review!). Rut roh. Here's the Viking Vapor ECF Post that explains things a little further.
I was a little concerned, but the next day I received an email from Larry explaining that several orders shipped, several orders were canceled, and a small batch that included mine were in limbo. He assured me that once my funds were released he would get my order out ASAP. Sure enough, my order shipped the next day.
I ordered Chocolate, Fudge Brownie, S'mores, Chocolate Banana (I like chocolate, can you tell?) for myself, and Blackberry Cola, Cola, Apricot for my wife. We also got a bottle of Hawaiian Mesquite, because it sounded too interesting to pass up. All are 18mg, and an 80/20 PG/ VG mix.
This juice is fantastic. Tons of vapor, and a really satisfying TH. The flavors are strong, and overall are pretty accurate.
Chocolate-I fell in love with V4L's Dark Chocolate, which I never would have guessed that chocolate would be my favorite flavor. Viking's chocolate is different. It's got a strong chocolate flavor, definitely along the lines of a Tootsie Roll. It's a little sweeter than I'd like (V4L's Dark Chocolate taste more like hot cocoa), but overall pretty good, and excellent when mixed with a few drops of Spearmint.
Chocolate Banana-I was really excited to try this. As far as food goes, I love chocolate & bananas. As far as vape goes...not so much. It has a very good blend of chocolate & bananas, but the flavor is much too sweet for me. I can't really say I'm disappointed, the flavor is strong, and it truly tastes like chocolate & bananas. It's just not my thing.
S'mores-This is another one that fits the Chocolate Banana category. Flavor is strong, and pretty accurate. The graham cracker flavor kind of overwhelms everything else, and again it's a very sweet flavor. I love S'mores the food much more than the vape.
Fudge Brownie-This has a distinctly different flavor than the regular chocolate. I haven't vaped it enough to say whether I like it or not, but I'll get back to you all on this one.
Blackberry Cola-Tried a puff or two of this flavor. It has a very strong fruit flavor to it, with a hint of cola. To me, it almost tastes like a grape otter pop. The fruity flavors are too much sweet for me. I like them for a few puffs, but no way I could vape on that all day. That said, my wife loves the Blackberry Cola.
Still need to give the last 3 flavors a shot, I'm very interested in the Hawaiian Mesquite, which was described as a smokey mesquite flavor mixed with pineapple on the website.
*Update*Hawaiian Mesquite-Okay, so after posting this, I decided to give the Hawaiian Mesquite a go. Definitely an interesting flavor combination. It comes in with a strong, sweet pineapple flavor, and finishes with the mesquite. I can't think of any other way to describe the mesquite flavor than...beef jerky. Mesquite smoked beef jerky of course, but it tastes exactly like beef jerky to me. Not my favorite.
Despite the fact that the flavors aren't exactly hitting the mark because of my tastes, Viking's juice is still excellent quality. I'm still just finding my way in terms of flavors.
The verdict for me...Viking Vapor is going to be my other go to juice supplier along with V4L. The juice is very good. The selection of flavors is insane. And the customer service I received during their recent difficulties was top notch. Once they're back up & running, I'd definitely recommend giving them a shot.
