SSOCC is just the latest iteration of Kanger coils. (I haven't heard specifically what Kanger's intention is with its coil product lines.) I recall reading that the previous versions of the OCC coils are cross-compatible with anything that uses the round SSOCC coils.

The body in the SSOCC's is Stainless Steel - NOT THE COIL WIRE!!

Coil wire is going to be Kanthal or nichrome, unless it specifically says Ni(ckel) or Ti(tanium) for Temp Control.

Previous iterations of the Kanger coils wicked 80% VG juice fairly well. Not sure about their performance with straight VG. Adding a few drops of a quality alcohol (vodka or Everclear) would be an effective thinning strategy if it is wicking poorly.

Thanks douggro. My subvod with toptank nano is coming tomorrow. I am excited because I am on a cigalike right now, and want to get better flavor from my liquids, right now I just have two moon mountain liquids. Can you sub-ohm on 50/50 or similar ratio liquids? Or does that give too much throat hit for some people?
My local b&m is clearancing out moon mountain 15ml for $5, I have comet in 0 mg and collision course in 12 mg... I want to go buy a bottle of comet in 18mg (they are out of 12) and a bottle of collision course in 0 to mix with my current ones, since sub-ohming 12 mg liquid would probably be too much nic for me.

New SSocc is designed to allow more liquid volume in the same size tank.

I have heard good and bad reviews of the new coils. Some may just be hit or miss in assembly. That seems to happen from time to time with most coil lines.

Personally, I would not attempt 100% VG in any premade head Tank.
80/20 or 85/15 maybe.

A few drops of distilled water per tank will also aid in wicking.

I LOVE my subvod and toptank. The only problem is I absolutely cannot get the top off the toptank, even with a wrench. So I have to bottom-fill. That's okay with me because apparently if you top-fill you run a risk of the liquid draining into the air tube thing the longer you leave the lid off. I don't know. I am vaping 12mg moon mountain collision course in it and it is great. Honestly at 12mg this thing is very satisfying and I find myself not chain-vaping as much as I did with my crappy little cigalike. Might try 12mg liquid on it a while since i'm scared if I lower the nicotine I will vape a ton and I just can't afford to go through a bottle of liquid a day, lol. This thing looks sharp, too. Would like to get the ijust2 at some point to have a second "beginner's sub-ohm".
