I have heard a lot of great things about Velvet Cloud e-juice. I was looking for an all natural/organic juice with nothing artificial. After reading many posts, their website, and watching review videos, I thought Velvet Cloud vapor was it!
Just received my order today. I am a bit shocked to read the ingredients:
Kosher USP vegetable glycerin, water, natural AND ARTIFICIAL flavorings, USA made nicotine.
What?? What does this mean? Have they changed their formulas to be less natural since the older reviews? What artificial flavors are used? Could someone help explain? Does Virgin Vapor also use artificial flavorings? What company can I try that is truly natural - or does that exist?

Thanks everyone

Interesting first post?
Why don't you contact VC directly and simply ask them what flavors might contain anything 'artificial?' I'd hazard a guess that the label is generically worded.
Velvet Cloud is local to me and I can assure you their customer service is excellent and their products are truly first rate.

I imagine it is an interesting first post lol. I have always been a lurker, researching through others experience, but after searching I could not find anyone asking about this, so I finally had a legit question. I thought maybe I had missed something in my research, or perhaps like you said - every brand has this type of generic wording in the ingredients list. That seems weird to me though, and I was surprised to see the ingredients list. I am new (ie: completely lost and ignorant lol) to trying to find more natural juices and am curious if the other popular natural brands contain artificial flavors listed on their ingredients list as well. Maybe it is naive to have assumed there would be no artificial flavoring. I doubt they are melting chocolate to create the juices  and perhaps artificial flavorings are ultimately a safe way of creating flavors. I'm just guessing.
Velvet cloud has awesome reviews, not trying to slam their product at all. I am still burning up my last tank of old juice and I have not even filled my first tank of their juice yet but I am looking forward to it. It will be my first all vg juice, and ultimately the pg is what I am trying to get away from, so the artificial flavoring thing is not a deal breaker, I just want to understand. Also would like to know if all juice has artificial flavors listed. I will take your advice and contact them to see what they say.

We pride ourselves on offering some of the best and most unique e-liquid blends out there. Hand selected ingredients and recipes perfected and sourced over a long period of time, it's the e-liquid equivalent of what you'd find at a farmer's market. Essentially, we believe our customers come back so often because Velvet Cloud is e-juice done right - natural VG base, no added coloring, no artificial sweeteners, no sugar, no GMOs, no gluten, no animal products or products tested on animals - simply put: nothing weird or gross. We make it right here in San Francisco but it is loyally enjoyed all around the world and nothing could make us happier. :)

So you copy and pasted that from the website...cool. That is why I bought the juice, I read that. However the only difference I see in your juice according to the ingredient list is the lack of propylene glycol.
No one can answer the artificial ingredient question? If the above is a response from their customer service, of which I have emailed and have yet to get a response from, that is pretty bad.

I know they have switched to Molecule Labs Inc, I think it was about 6 months ago but my memory is terrible. MLI produces a few other brands of eliquid as well, like cuttwood. My guess is that since they are made in the same lab it could be equivalent to when food labels say it was made in a facility that also produces nuts ect. In addition there is some rule out there in CA, and other states, about calling yourself Organic without some kind of official permission. Or it has formaldehyde and we are all going to die. My bad.

As to what company you could try that is truly natural, I am a big fan of Black Note. Amazing, clean flavors. It's the only juice I've tried that does not give me reactions.

However, I notice you said you're trying to move away from PG, and Black Note's formula is 50/50 only, so it might not be for you.

Also, they only offer tobacco flavors, but honestly they are so subtle and complex, they certainly don't remind me of cigarettes whatsoever. But just an FYI.

I received my reply from their customer service. They explained that they put it on every label, but not every juice contains an artificial flavor. However some do, but that is because of their cruelty free - vegan policy. For example, any flavor that would use an animal included ingredient to make the flavor - such as creamed honey - that they would then substitute a quality artificial ingredient.
I loved this response. I had not thought of it until their explanation. I hold them in even higher regard now, and will continue to purchase from them.
Being big on animal rights, I am embarrassed I didn't think of this reasoning myself. I was hoping there was a legitimate reason I opened my package and saw artificial in the ingredient list, and alas, there was!
Way to go to the company.
Also thank you to everyone for the replies. :)

Glad you got a response. I'm curious but what animal is an ingredient of creamed honey?
Vegan ism is not just a diet, it encompasses a belief system and lifestyle. The main belief being that animals will not be used in anyway. Not eaten, not worn, not disturbed. Vegans do not eat honey because of the harvesting of the honey from the bees. In nature, the bees use the honey themselves.

What do Vegans say about animals that eat meat, Is it not the natural order of things?
