    Greetings everyone and welcome back for today's review of the LUXE 80 Kit from vaporesso. These kits were provided to me from vaporesso for the purpose of this review. Giving you a brief rundown of the LUXE 80 Kit prior to my review, the LUXE 80 has a internal 2500mAh battery with a wattage range of 5-80 watts and comes in 5 colors with the 5ml GTX Pod 26 and obviously uses tried and true GTX coils. I think when reading this review you will as surprised as I was with the LUXE 80's size, so without further ado let's get to know the LUXE 80 Kit features and some details on it prior to my review.

    LUXE 80 KIT BREAKDOWN

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    The LUXE 80's came as most Vaporesso devices do in a box that slides out of a outer wrapper box showing the kit and having all the specifications and what's inside printed on the front and back. Inside you find the LUXE 80, 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω mesh coils along with a nice braided type-c charge cable all compartmentalized in their own section under a cardboard open envelope containing all your paper information. At first glance the size of the LUXE 80 pleasantly surprised me because I really thought it was going to be larger than it is. As you can see the LUXE 80 has 2 attractive sides to it, one being it's color side and the other being it's leather side with LUXE stamped diagonally across the top as shown below. I was sent the beautiful red and carbon fiber colors, both give off the appearance of them being 3D and when the light hits the red one a mosaic of colors just seem to come to life and sparkle.

    Vaporesso used the Pod 26 from the Go 80 Kit on the LUXE 80 and I'm glad they did because it works very well and the top fill system used in it performs equally as well.

    For those of you not familiar with the Pod 26 I'll explain it's method of top fill, opening the top cap is done with just a minute turn of the top cap, you must grasp the tank or it will just spin.

    Once open and off you will notice a hole with a membrane on one side, that is your fill port that acts like a one way valve letting liquid in but sealing back up when the juice bottle tip is pulled out. On the other side is a very tiny hole that allows air to escape when filling keeping everything mess free.

    The four magnets on the Pod 26 are some of the strongest if not the strongest for a pod connection, I really have to apply some force to remove the pod, the pod will not come off unintentionally. To adjust airflow simply line up the slots with the slots on the device and turn the pod in either direction.

    Supplied in the kit are a GTX 0.2Ω and a 0.3Ω mesh coil, both coils are clearly marked and each one's mesh netting is slightly different with the 0.2Ω coil having just a bit more. Both coils produce a impressive amount of vapor and have great flavor, I think the 0.2Ω coil edges out the 0.3Ω coil in the flavor department but just barely, both are great coils. Using the 0.2Ω coil I was able to get 180 vapes at 48 watts, using the 0.3Ω coil I was able to get 231 vapes at 40 watts of power.

    Vaporesso kept branding down to a minimum on the LUXE 80 with branding being on the leather portion I mentioned earlier and on one of the sides of the device leaving the LUXE 80 with a very clean look. The matt gunmetal finish of all the buttons blends and matches the body of the the Luxe 80 very well. The Pod 26 clear tank with black colored top cap bring the look all together. There's even a silver colored accent ring at the base of the proprietary drip tip.

    The device sits flush on any flat surface without worry of it being knocked over with a bump into a table or desk. The only other spot of any other writing is the bottom that nobody see anyway. There are three battery ventilation holes on the bottom as well.

    I will tell you another very nice asset the LUXE 80 has besides it's small size and attractive appearance is how lightweight the device is. Weighing only 136g makes carrying out and about a no problem task, it's not light enough for shirt pocket carry but in a pants pocket you barley notice it's there.

    The business end of the device shows a bright and sharply defined color display screen that is easy to read, I do however wish the wattage number size could have been made just a bit smaller to allow the other information that's displayed to be just a bit easier to read at a fast glance.

    The color display screen and layout used in the LUXE 80 is the same one used in the Swag PX 80, information is laid out very well and is from the top down and left to right.

    DISPLAY SCREEN LAYOUT

    * Battery bar

    * Power mode - ( Wattage, Voltage, Smart Wattage )

    * Wattage/Voltage ( depending on your power mod )

    * Vaping animation graph

    * Best wattage recommendation for coil

    * Coil ohms

    * Volts / Wattage ( depending on your power mode )

    * Puff counter

    * Seconds of last vape

    The LUXE 80 provides a 2A fast charge utilizing a type-c charge port and has a very nice bonus that I really love and I hope continues on future Vaporesso devices, when charging the LUXW 80 you get a battery bar and percentage displayed on the screen showing it's state of charge but you also have a time until fully charged also displayed on the screen. Charging time from a completely dead battery takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes, mine always stopped vaping at about 13% and took under 1 hour to charge.

    Having a internal 2500mAh battery in such a small package is really impressive, I've done so many reviews of devices in this size class category and most have 1500 to 2000mAh internal batteries and are larger in size, I just grabbed a couple of recent reviews devices I reviewed to show a comparison of size next to the LUXE 80. Although larger in size both devices on each side of the 2 LUXES have smaller capacity internal batteries.

    I think this kit is a perfect starter for someone beginning their journey into vaping because of it simplicity to use and a menu system that's also easy to navigate. I also think the LUXE 80 Kit will be a popular choice for veteran vapers as well because of sharp looks, size, weight and performance.

    You get a choice of 3 power modes but having a smart wattage mode that saves the user from inadvertently applying to much power to the coil that's installed is the preferred choice for me, also having a recommended wattage setting ( BEST ) really helps new vapers.

    The LUXE 80 offers 3 color display choices ( THEMES ) that are blue, green and pink. I'll list the functions of the simple and easy menu system down below.

    MENU

    * 5 Presses of the fire/ power button turns the device on/off

    * 3 Presses of the fire/power button locks adjustment buttons

    * Hold both adjustment buttons down simultaneously to enter into the menu

    * Once in the menu scroll using either adjustment buttons to your desired location then press the fire/power button to activate that selected menu item

    LUXE 80 PROS

    * Attractive

    * Lightweight

    * Compact size

    * Bright color display

    * 3 Color theme choices

    * 3 Power modes

    * 2500mAh internal battery - ( PRO & CON )

    * Instant fire

    * Strong pod magnets

    * Great ergonomic hand fit

    * Type-c

    * Battery percentage & time until fully charged displayed

    * Light branding

    * GTX coils

    * Great flavor & vapor

    * Clear 5ml pod

    LUXE 80 CONS

    * 2500mAh internal battery ( CON & PRO )

    * Wattage number could be smaller allowing other display numbers size to be increased

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    Well folks as you can tell I'm really loving the LUXE 80 in a very big way because of all the reasons posted above. One thing I really like with the red colored one that I received is how much it sparkles in direct sunlight, I was hoping for the blue colored one because blue is my favorite color but the red emits so many colors that have a sort of 3D effect I love it.

    The hand fit is great as well as the feel of being a quality built device with no button rattle. With compact devices I always worry about the pod coming off while in my pocket or when I'm pulling it out of my pocket but the magnets on the Pod 26 are so strong some real force is needed to pull the pod off the mod so no worry there.

    The top fill method of the Pod 26 works like a charm also being a mess free one as well. Looking at the Pod 26 you would not think that it could hold 5ml on the standard version because it's a shorter styled tank but yes it does which is another pro going for it.

    I'm so glad that Vaporesso decided to use the GTX coils and Pod 26 in this kit because the performance proven GTX coils perform wonderfully giving a great flavorful vape with more than enough vapor.

    As you can see in my pros and cons section of the review I listed the internal 2500mAh battery in both because some people prefer to use replaceable batteries while others like the simplicity of a built in battery. The 2500mAh internal battery will get you through the day using the 0.3Ω mesh coil but it falls just a bit short using the 0.2Ω mesh coil, that's where a replaceable battery would shine, but charging only takes 1 hour and 35 minutes on a fully depleted battery, under 1 hour was the norm for me. I'm hoping to receive the replaceable 18650 version ( LUXE 80S ) for comparison soon.

    Vaporesso has another winner with the creation of the LUXE 80 Kit and I would recommend it as a great starter kit and not just a on the go device for veteran vapers but one that can be used as a all day device.

    I would like to thank Milo and Vaporesso for providing the LUXE 80 Kit for the purpose of this review and I also hope this review helped anyone looking to purchase the LUXE 80 Kit.

    THANK YOU

    Nice review Bob, thank you !
    I have a few questions for you if you allow me :
    Is the drip tip replacable with a standard 510 one ?
    Is the Rba included ?
    Did you test this Rba in another review ?
    Is it really leak free as advised, even if taken in a bag, a pocket...
    Is there a way to have an open Mtl vape with other Gtx coils ?
    I'm not looking for a Spica-like super tight vape but more a KF5 open Mtl draw.
    Many thanks for your help, and your pictures, the red one is gorgeous !

    Hello @Lanciab ,
    To answer your questions first off no the drip tip is not swappable with one of your own and no the RBA coil is not included, I have tested the RBA coil but I feel it's very small to work on and I like the mesh GTX coils better. You should be fine carrying it in a handbag or pocket without leaking issues, I've been heavily testing the LUXE 80 Kit for almost 2 weeks and have not had a drop of juice leaking, as far as GTX coils for MTL vaping the 0.8Ω mesh coil is a good one, I think the bore size on the Pod26 drip tip might be a bit to large for a semi tight MTL vape, it's a hard one to give you a definite yes or no answer, but I think a loose MTL vape using the coil I mentioned is doable and the 2500mAh internal battery would last you a couple of days probably. I hope my answers to your questions helped you out.

    Thanks a lot Bob for your kind, fast and instructive answer !
    As I like using my own driptips, it's a shame i cannot.
    And if airflow is too open for an open DL it's probably not a good choice for me.
    Your answers avoided me a useless dépense.
    Best regards,
    Bruno
    A restricted DL is fantastic on the LUXE 80.
