Vaping with pneumonia?

I quit smoking and started vaping about a month ago. I am a heavy vaper, but I was also a pack a day (at least) smoker. This past Friday I was experiencing chest pains so bad that I had to be taken to the ER. They determined that I have a mild case of pnumonia, that they almost were unable to see from my chest xrays. It's going around, and your lungs are more susceptible to infection when you are in the early stages of quitting smoking. THEN, my mother had to tell the ER nurse that I vape now, and OF COURSE the nurse had to say that this is why I have pneumonia. Now I do no believe for a second that vaping CAUSED my pneumonia, however, I'm worried about vaping worsening it. I've held off from vaping the past 3 days now. But I'm DYING for a couple poofs off my sigelei. Has anyone else had experience with vaping with pneumonia?

I believe its because you used to smoke, as you know smoking kills all hairs which protect dust and other gunk going in. Because you smoked your lungs are weakened and something might have gone in there and caused it. I dont think vaping caused pneumonia, very unlikely.

I don't believe that the vaping caused the pneumonia either, and I have heard from multiple sources that quitting smoking makes it easier for you to get lung infections. I'm wondering if I will make it worse. Like I haven't vaped in 3 days, but I'm wondering if I vape even lightly while I'm recovering if it will cause me to relapse or prevent me from getting better quicker.

Also I forgot to say, congratulations on quitting I hope you know your in better health, Your heart rate will go down and your breathing and circulation will begin to improve. Just dont go back to those cancer sticks. I know how it feels, seeing your packet of cigs go. I felt heartbroken when I saw my mayfair superkings go, but I only smoked like 1 cigarette every 3 days. Anyway, Just try to vape lightly, if you really need to have a few puffs but if you feel ill dont do it. Thats what I would do.

I think I will try to vape lightly, I'm just really afraid to get worse again. The day before I went to the ER, I didn't know I had pneumonia yet, I took pain medication and my chest pains went away, so I vaped throughout the night and I noticed that my chest discomfort did worsen. Just don't want that to happen again.

I think I will try to vape lightly, I'm just really afraid to get worse again. The day before I went to the ER, I didn't know I had pneumonia yet, I took pain medication and my chest pains went away, so I vaped throughout the night and I noticed that my chest discomfort did worsen. Just don't want that to happen again.

I am sure nothing will happen, but vaping does dehydrate you, remember to drink loads of water especially since you have pneumonia. If you want some recommendations for e juice I can give you some Do you vape nicotine or no nicotine?

I started out with 12mg nic. I now vape both 3mg nic and 0mg nic. I will generally buy my favorite flavors in both nicotine levels so I can dilute the 3mg when I'm chain vaping and nit make myself sick, haha. I prefer max vg juice, too much pg burns my throat. My favorite juice vendor is Namberjuice. I love their epiclouds and grimm kvlt lines.

Pg provides better flavor but vg provides more cloud. I'm pretty unsatisfied if I don't have a lot of cloud haha. My favorite flavors right now are Carmel corpse (grimm kvlt) and doughnut pounder (epiclouds)

Yea I replaced smoking with vaping. Can you imagine the constant nicotine buzz from doing both? Jesus.
