one thing I found that helps is suckin on some Ricola cough drops -- they have menthol in them, so even if your throat is burning pretty bad the way mine was from the flu all day Sunday and Monday, you can still vape

so Monday I ordered some Menthol juice, even though when I was a smoker I couldn't stand menthol cigarettes... if it means I can vape while I'm sick -- I'm all for it! could never bring myself to puff while sick back when I was a smoker, so this is yet another ancillary benefit of vaping

When I was a few weeks into vaping, I got pretty sick. I started with some minor sinus irritation (not terrible, just nasty, achy sinuses), then I got a staph infection. I felt like I was on my death bed. I was vaping 18mg nic at the time, and ordered some 12mg nic menthol juice. And oh, what a difference it made. The menthol vapor soothed my sinuses so quickly. A french inhale, or exhale through my nose felt SO good. And like Sean above me said, menthol (from a cough drop, in his case) feels good. :)

I believe you'll find menthol more soothing than a mint (peppermint or spearmint), and way more soothing than a tobacco or alcohol flavor. :)

Good luck and feel better soon!!

Hey guys, I've got the flu right now accompanied with a sore throat and I'm still vaping, just not as hard as usual. I'm using 18mg where I usually use 26mg. I tried some of my 8mg but for some reason it felt better with the 18mg. I've been taking lots of Extra strong menthol halls, and I find if I vape while having one it helps a lot. But yea have coughed a bit using my passthrough, but still vaping.

I think I might go try my menthol juice... Thanks Adeline :)

I've vaped through every sore throat, cold or random viral infection I've had and it didn't cause me any problems. When you're at the worst part of a cold and all dried out from medicine anyway, I don't think you'd even notice if the vapor dried you out a tiny bit more.

A little of topic...
One thing I miss about smoking is how it could help get a stuffy nose flowing. Vapor doesn't do that. But my colds are a lot shorter as a non-smoker, so it's a good trade-off ;)

Let me tell you one thing....
I feel a bit under the weather right now.
Bought some cough syrup and my lr510 atty's just came in.........
holy crap... apparently cough syrup on an empty stomach and 18mg juice on a fresh atty gives you one hell of a high...........
this is all sorts of messed up, i feel like i had a few drinks right now....

time to try out that menthol juice i got a while back
